Q:Can i house a leopard gecko on Excavator clay substrate if i put some rocks over it? like around the water and food bowls so that the clay doesn't get wet?
You'd need to offer several humid hiding spots, but yes, I've actually set up leopard geckos on excavator clay before. Make sure you get it wet, sculpt it, and let it dry completely before putting them on it, but it'd work quite well for leopard geckos. Due to how dry it makes the cage, it's mandatory that you provide at least 2 humid hiding areas, though. -Jen
Q:I am working on a project for a class and I need a the new price of an excavator
i couldn't find a retailer, and Deere's website doesn't list prices, but I found an auctioneer site. Click on the link below for more information.
Q:I looking for any possible suggestions on how to flip a large flat piece of steel weighing 25kip that is 12.5ftX9ftX0.5ft. At the company I work for we already use an overhead crane with a chain wrapped around the piece of steel to flip it but this takes too long. I have explored options of using clamps with the crane but none of the vertical clamps are big enough or affordable enough and other clamps don't promise to be a sufficient option. One last thought which seems best is welding two pad-I's to one side of the piece of steel and hooking chains to the pad-I's but that requires welding and arcing time. Does anyone have a better suggestion? Thanks!
A big Komatsu excavator will turn it over in a few seconds. Some well placed semtex might do it as well but you'd need an explosives expert to get exactly the right amount.
Q:Also, I noticed most job listings for them are temporary, how often must they relocate? Thanks
Field techs are basic archaeological excavators. They have to have a background in archaeology (usually a field school plus a bachelors degree), and they are the ones who dig test pits for surveys, excavate sites, sift dirt to collect artifacts, map sites, and so on. Field techs do the archaeology, but they are not the one in charge of the dig. People higher up work out the funding and contracts and permits, devise the plan for how and where to dig, do the background research (though field techs are sometimes involved in that), and write the final reports. The field techs are also usually the same people who wash, label, and catalog the artifacts in the lab. Field jobs are temporary. If you work for a company that has one job after another you might have the opportunity to keep working for them on a more permanent basis, but even then there will be times when there is no work and you are laid off. Lots of companies will just hire you for a short-term job and then lay you off, so you usually need to be in contact with multiple companies if you want to stay employed. I've worked field jobs that only lasted a couple days, but I've also been a field tech at a major site where I had permanent year-round work. Field tech jobs with CRM companies on average last only a matter of weeks, or sometimes a few months. Relocating somewhere new for each project generally only works if you know the job is longer term (though you still have to relocate after 6 months or a year or two), or if you are travelling around to short term jobs that pay a per diem. For example, a company may have jobs in multiple areas-- you go to those areas for a few weeks at a time and they pay your living expenses while you are there. Lots of companies only work in a specific region, however-- if you get with them, then you'll be commuting to different sites, but can at least have a permanent residence rather than relocating.
Q:my friend bought an old 690B john deer excavator- but the bucket and arm cyls. are toast ! I got lots of parts #'s for him off the jd site but can't get the actual specs for the cylinders. any tips?
If you're looking to replace the cylinders, just take some measurements from the old ones - however, you're not likely to find replacements that are exact enough to work properly. The cylinders might be made by John Deere, or they could come from Hitachi, which made a lot of JD excavator parts. If the cylinders just need resealing and rebushing, take them to a hydraulic shop - they can find the right seals and wipers, and they can hone them or re-chrome the rods if necessary.
Q:What are the steps in getting a new structure tied into the cities sewer/water utilities? Do ordinary plumbers do this or do you have to get a specialist to perform this work? Would anyone know what permits are necessary, what is all involved to get this taken care of?
Yes you will need a plumbing permit, most plumbers will work with an excavator to dig the trench to the sewer. Contact a licensed and insured plumber in your area (ask around for references). They will run a trench from your exisiting drain lines to the sewer and make a connection, same with your water supply lines if needed.
Q:Egyptians were a very religious and spiritual people, yet they somehow build pyramids that almost exactly aline with true north south east and west and aline with stars. not saying atheists are stupid, cause a lot of atheists are smart, yet I dont think atheists could build a pyramid anywhere near as good as the Egyptians could, but then again none of us can today that includes theists, well maybe we could but it wouldn't be an easy task.
Why would an atheist build a pyramid in 2013? Seems as redundent as this question
Q:Proper operation of excavator excavation
1, smooth operation methodDuring the operation, the stability of the machine can not only improve work efficiency, prolong the life of the machine, but also can ensure the safety of operation (put the machine in a flat on the ground); the drive sprocket at the rear side of the front side than in good stability, and can prevent the final drive from the impact of external force on the ground track; the wheelbase is always greater than the track, so toward the good working stability, to avoid the lateral operation; to keep close to the mining machine, in order to improve the stability and mining excavator; if points away from the machine, due to move the focus of work is not stable; lateral excavation is than mining stability, if the mining point away from the center of the machine body, the machine will be more stable, so mining point and center of body should maintain a proper distance, so that a balanced and efficient operation.
Q:Does anyone know what this mining tool is called? and what its used for?
Ore and Mining Equipment Bucket-wheel excavators Bucket-wheel excavators are heavy equipment used in surface mining and civil engineering. They are among the largest vehicles ever constructed, and the biggest bucket-wheel excavator ever built, Bagger 293, is the largest terrestrial vehicle in human history
Q:How long does the excavator take on the moon?
depending on how many people you have the time may very from 30mines-2hours
