- Q: I'm only 18 and started working out a year ago.. I'm 135 pounds and 5'7 and can leg press 170, 205 on hip abductors, but only can do 60 pounds on arm press. I know women are stronger in their legs but is 170 pounds impressive or should I increase my weight more?
- This isn't a question. By leg pressing you are putting yourself in a position to injure or possibly even break your spine, just saying. Sure, you can press 170 pounds, but can you do 100 squats; no, I don't think so. It isn't impressive as the weight you do on a machine is detracted by the machine, leaving you less work to do compared to free weights that *you* (not the machine) lift. Good luck.
- Q: I work with a hydraulic press to press flat objects that have a different area. How can something , for example, that is 10 by 10 be pressed at 150 psi and equal 30 tons but the same exact thing only smaller pressed at 150 psi only have 15 tons acting on it? I know we get what Tons it should be by (Area * PSI)/ 2000 What I do not understand is how equal PSI can result in different pounds of weight being applied to an object? Is the PSI whats moving the hydraulic press up to close and the pounds of weight how tight its pressing whats in the middle?

- I would start out with 15 reps 1 set 30 inch wide grip, with the bare bar, and add 5 pounds every workout. I would recommend a spotter when the weight starts to feel on the heavy side at rep 15. After about 4 to 8 weeks you can change your reps and sets. I make changes to mine every 8 weeks.

The definition of a printer in the US as it started out was anybody who owns a printing press. In other words, this was THE most radical idea that had ever been put forward. In all the world the press was strictly controlled by kings and princes. But here if you owned a printing press, you were a printer - and you could print anything. It was a huge breath of clean air for the world back in the last 1700's - and it's been copied all over the world since. It was like the best idea that ever happened.

- That is a setting. I forget what it's called. But it can be turned off.
- Q: what body in the uk monitors what is printed in the press?
- PCC (Press Complaints Commission) It isn't proactive, i.e. it doesn't monitor the press as such - it just adjudicates on complaints that are received.
- Q: The 'Up' Button on my monitor presses on its own and holds and that maxes my contrast, i have locked the buttons but its still auto pressing, and i know this because a message 'Buttons locked' pops up, any idea on how to fix this?
- well it sounds like the switch under the button is going bad. you can break it so it can;'t be pressed ever again or you can take the plastic cap off the button so only the metal contact will show. this might solve you problem.

- Yes you can build muscle with just a bench press but I would not recommend only doing the bench press. If you are planning on doing bench press make sure you moderate on days so you can relax your muscles, and new tissue can be built. Try to keep bench press to 2 - 3 days a week max. I highly recommend doing push-ups and sit-ups. They build your body, and even if you can't do many just start out slow. Then add more push-ups and sit-ups to your routine. If your nervous about going to the gym you could also just do the push-ups and sit-ups at your house.
