- use the casserole dish, it is the same amount of batter as the 10 inch pan put aluminum foil under the 9 inch pan to catch any run over, but I don't think it will! most of the time the person who writes the recipes puts in pan sizes that SHE uses and maybe she doesn't have the standard everyone has 9 inch pan!! the only time I specify a pan is Bundt or Tube pan!! otherwise anything works as long as the pan is only half full of batter!
