- A French press is supposed to give a fuller bodied, more flavorful coffee. I tried it a couple of times... meh, nothing to write home about. I've never noticed a difference between code and basket filters (of course, in the morning, all I want to do is push my face in the coffee mug and get something hot inside me).

- Bench press doesn't mean as much as people say. People fail to take into account that the body adapts to certain movements, so you can bench a lot if you have really good form and practice. A guy who rarely benches will lift much less but may be in much better shape (which seems like that's your case).
