5.Steps of PVC UPVC Window and Door construction
Aluminum or PVC (UPVC) window is being made from Aluminum or UPVC profile, window accessories and glass.
To produce an Aluminum or PVC window you have to do the following steps:
Cut the profiles (Aluminum or uPVC Profile, reinforcement and Glazing bead)
Put reinforcement profile inside the uPVC profiles
Screw reinforcement profile into PVC profile
End mill the mullions
Open holes for door handles, sash fastener channels and espagnolette
Weld uPVC profile or Crimping Aluminum profile
Clean the welded corners of uPVC windows

- Q:When is it ok to take the plastic off my windows for summer? (the weatherization plastic that you blow-dry tight in the fall) I want some fresh air in my house but am not sure if it's the right time yet. I live in upstate NY.
- When you know you'll be comfortable in the house without the plastic on the windows. Some people are comfortable when the weather gets into the 50's, some at other temperatures.
- Q:I need to mask some windows off using just painters plastic and 2quot; tape. My problem is where I'm supose to lay the tape is flush with the glass. Am I supose to cut the plastic to size, tape up the corners and then tape seams? Sorry, new to airless.
- You got it Tape windows first, use a razor knife for corners.Now tape plastic to the tape on windows. Cut plastic smaller then window so you tape on tape.

- Q:I have a 1994 convertible with a plastic rear window, and it has 13 years of dirtiness on that thing. There is a bunch of ugly what I presume are scratches all across teh middle (probably from the folding process).Also, there are little almost transparent white circles (you have to see them from an angle though)... that are also really annoying.Can you identify what those circles are??I've tried meguire's plastx polish...and even some white vinegar distilled in water.Currently, im looking for a more aggressive product.
- Each top is different Mazda Miata for example you can replace just the plastic window. Quit messing around go to the trim shop and have another top put on or a new window sewn in. Trust me that is the only way and when you fold place a towel on the window both sides to protect it from wrinkles and scratches. Convertable tops are good for about 3 to 4 years then the plastic becomes brittle.
- Q:I own a 323i bmw convertible. I just replaced the top but the back plastic window is already starting to cloud. I was recommended a wax called ziond or something along those lines. It worked the first time but is now turning the window yellow. I dont wish to replace the window so i was wondering if anyone knew an easier option? such as some home remedy to grease it off. idk ive tried everything!thanks!
- confident, yet as with every issues beemer, it is going to fee you. i mandatory that finished too. I have been given 4 costs. In all 4 situations, changing the whole marvelous fee approximately $200 extra effective than changing merely the window. considering my camel colored marvelous had some floor in stains, i desperate having an entire new marvelous became nicely certainly worth the extra effective $200.
- Q:Does that thin plastic window covering people use during the winter really help any?
- Yes! I leave it on many windows all year 'round. It makes your home quieter also. I also put caulk on the edge of the window frame next to the wall/sheetrock to block out more heat-loss. When you install the plastic, don't initially put the plastic on too tight. Use the hair-dryer to smooth out the wrinkles on the plastic. If your windows get a lot of sun, the heat from the sun will also smooth out the plastic. Before you install the plastic, clean the windows well and use clear caulk at the edge of the window glass and the window frame. Caulking the window first, makes your plastic covering work even better.
- Q:So we just moved into an old home that is notorious for being difficult to keep warm in the winter. The previous tenants had plastic on the windows to keep the cold out. Well, its July here and keeping the cold out is no longer a concern. The plastic looks terrible and if its not serving a purpose, I'd like to take it down for the summer and fall season. - gives a dead space between the inside and out air. if you are running AC leave it. Cooling could cost as much as heat. If you take it down now, winter will find you putting something else up like it. There are some clear plastics you could install neatly and it looks like glass.

- Use clear tape to attach them together The wider the better. Lay the plastic on a flat surface, a table if it is big enough or you can use your kitchen or living room floor. Place the 2 pieces side by side (edge to edge). Cut 2 very small pieces of tape and attach them, one at the bottom and one at the top, to secure the plastic and keep it from sliding around while you tape the entire thing together.
- Q:what is the difference between acrylic and plastic window vent visors ?
- Plastic is a generic term that can apply to many different materials. Acrylic is a specific type of plastic. That said, there are many types of acrylics as well. A common acrylic used in automotive applications would be polymethyl methacrylate, also know under the trade name Plexiglas. Polycarbonates are also commonly used and are sometimes referred to as acrylics but technically they are not acrylics at all. In this application I'd probably prefer a polycarbonate as it would be more durable and less likely to craze with repeated washing. Something sold as acrylic would come second and anything generically referred to as plastic a distant third place.
- Q:It is a clean tear- about 2 inches. I was wondering if there is anything I can use to glue it back together, or if a mechanic/garage would be able to fix it?
- you can try glueing it back together with super glue or somthing, but other than that, you will need a new window. Do you car what it looks like? the glue wont hold forever
