Product Description:

1. Pre-Painted Galvanized/Aluzinc Steel Coil Description:

With GI as base material, after pretreatment (degrease and chemical treatment ) and liquid dope with several layers of color, then after firing and cooling, finally the plate steel is called pre-painted galvanized (aluzinc) steel. Pre-painted galvanized steel is good capable of decoration, molding, corrosion resistance. It generally displays superior workability, durability and weather resistance.

2.Main Features of the Pre-Painted Galvanized/Aluzinc Steel Coil:

• Excellent process capability

• Smooth and flat surface

• Workability, durability

• Excellent heat resistance performance

• High strength

Q:Will this temperature affect the strength of steel component parts during the galvanizing process?
Steel is heat treated for some applications such as bearings, drill bits and cutting tools. Hot galvanizing occurs at 860F (when zinc is molten). Tool steels are likely to lose temper and hardness at this temperature. Common steels wouldn't be affected.
Q:Are there different types of steel that are used in construction of beach houses that withstand corrosion?
No, usually they are just coated or galvanized. To make a steel that is truly more corrosion resistant raises it's cost quite markedly, where as coatings are pretty cheap. Almost all structural steel is just A36 mild steel (like 0.1% carbon, 0.05% Mn, and not much else). There are higher grades of structural steel, and bridges are made with truly more corrosion resistant carbon steels, but for a house it's just not the case.
Q:Physics! Steel pots and pans?
Yep I agree with Scamper. Copper pot would be toxic so lined with tin or stainless steel.
Q:Nylon vs Steel Guitar?
Nylon is easy to use for beginners but steal sounds better.
Q:Comparing the speed of sound in air, water, and steel?
Speed Of Sound In Steel
Q:Are Black Steel and Black Iron the same?
Black steel is steel with a surface layer of dark coloured iron oxides used for low pressure hot water heating pipes. Black iron is iron without any finish on it, which is really gray-black in color. they may be the same as many people often confuse iron and steel. Since the steel is simply steel with a covering, it could describe any steel including your silver steel.
Q:Where could I acquire true steel?
You have already a good answer, but you have to bear in mind that in your work you need to follow the correct procedure for heat treatment. That procedure is dependent on the type of steel you have picked on.
Q:Use of Steel in Jet Engines??
You can use steel but alloyed with a big percent of Mn and Cr. Titanium is very good but unfortunately it is expensive. On engines and Turbine blades it is indicate to use High Alloy metals that are resistant to fluage.
Q:What are steel cut oats?
It does NOT look or cook like oatmeal but is made from the same grain. It takes much longer to cook since it is a whole grain, and tastes very good by the way. If you hate the slimy feel of oatmeal, this is the one to try, with all the same nutritional goodness of oatmeal. You can find it in most grocery stores in the hot cereal aisle. EDIT: you are right Mnt. Camp, steel cut is better that the regular oatmeal.
Q:How can I tell the difference between different knife steels?
So what does all that mean in the real world of knives. 420 has very low carbon by blade standards, as such it is just junk steel. There are three grades of 440, A, B and C. The amount of carbon in A is about half of what C has. (carbon is what makes steel get hard). Iron is very much like a sponge in that it can absorb and hold different alloys. These alloys give the iron different attributes, and they can magnify each other. Like a sponge iron can only hold so much, for Chromium it is around 13%. At that point the steel becomes stainless. The drawback is a loss of strength. As a bladesmith my knives are generally 59 to 60 rch, 420 and 440 at its hardest is 59 but at that it is brittle so most makers draw it down to around 57. In my test a knife made of 420 couldn't make 5 slicing cuts through rope (most couldn't make one). 440 averaged between 5 and 10. Compared to the lowest grade of carbon steel I use (5160) which average between 25 to 30 on the same rope. I have tested many stainless blades and the rule always the same, the more chromium past 13% the weaker the blade and the less edge holding ability.
