Oh, and yes, this is their outdoor stuff , not the shrink indoor kit.... The window is about 4 ft x 6 ft..... 1950 era.....(hence the need for plastic ). I've got a few smaller as well... - Yes, i cover all my windows. You can hardly see it if you run a blow dryer over it and shrink it.

- Q: I own a 323i bmw convertible. I just replaced the top but the back plastic window is already starting to cloud. I was recommended a wax called ziond or something along those lines. It worked the first time but is now turning the window yellow. I dont wish to replace the window so i was wondering if anyone knew an easier option? such as some home remedy to grease it off. idk ive tried everything!thanks!
- it's not too hard. It's the same thing that happens to headlights, condensation gets in and discolors the plastic. Go to your local Advance or NAPA or even sears, just pick up a thing of headlight restorer. All you have to do is rub it on and rub it off five minutes later. It's pretty cheap too, like 12 bucks max. hope this helped
- Q: I rent a townhouse that has very old windows.. LL will not replace them so im thinking of puttng plastic over the wndows.. we are not aloud to put plastic outside.,. Can anyone tell me..should it be thick plastic? should i staple it? or just tape? when i lay on my bed or couch i can feel the draft and the curtans move.. these wndows are terrible!! any help on the whole insulating thing would be great.. i hate having my heat on 78 just to be somewhat warm cause all the cold ar is still blowng in.. for some reason the heating vents are close to the wndows.. defeats the purpose if you ask me..
- I used to live in an apartment with the same problem but the one answer that asked about the glasing, Don't. What he is refering to is caulk if you want you can get a couple tubes of clear caulk (Yes they do make it, and no it is not silicone) and put a small bead around the edge of the window. This will help some but the window plastic that a couple of the oter people suggested works wonderfully.

Also, this window zipper only closes and opens one way, going the other way the teeth will not connect, any ideas? - There are some kits available for making repairs for clear plastic, you probably will not find them at an auto supply, but, at a place where supplies are sold for any inflatable items, air mattress,floats,etc. These clear repair kits come with an adheres and once in place it is there to stay. On the large tare on your back rear windshield, you may want to place a repair sheet on both sides. Also you may consider sewing it with clear fishing line. As far as you zipper is concern, you can replace the zipper pull, this may or may not solve your problem. Hope that some of the above is of some help!

- None that will look nice. You could use a thick clear tape however it will look ghetto.

- Do you mean like the ones where you pull them down and they unroll, and then to open them back up you pull down slightly and push them back up? I have those and I got them at the Home Depot. You can special order them in whatever size you want. And, they're fairly inexpensive. I have them on two picture windows with a southwest exposure, one about 6 feet long and the other about 7 feet long. I also have 2-inch horizontal mini blinds on those windows. But, the blinds are so long and heavy that they don't completely close all the way. So, I had to install the roll-up blinds behind them. And, they work great.
