- Q: I would like to recover them but they want $1000 just for the sofa. I could buy a new (junk but new) one for that. - Q: Something with simple lines and not an ugly over-stuffed sofa. Plain and simple with an open-leg design. Quality a must and 100% leather (no vinyl).
- I do not like light wood other than it does not show up dust and hair as bad as the darker. I like the grain in wood. Personal opinion. Here is the dilema you face. Right now you have black sofas. Your flooring will outlast those. Who knows what colour of furnishings you will choose next time. I would pick the floor colouring you like..I would choose a medium to medium dark colour. Not too light or dark to cause any decorating problems later on, and is very rich looking. All colours of wood look great with leather...even black leather. Try not to pick anything with a red tone to it..it can limit your colour choices down the line.
