Thanks in Advance: I also have t-mobile and they have good customer service well if you buy one for t-mobile i think you can buy the full price which about $200 or they could extend your contract and give it to you with a discount. I would rather just buy the phone. Not having a contract makes you monthly bills a little lower for like 20 less. It does have AIM so don't worry and yes you can just insert the Sim card to you new phone with the same number.

Each phone has its own code for Ringtones and unfortunately there is no way to get ringtones from one phone to another.you just have to buy them again. Bummer, I know
