Q:I put the charger in but it doesn't charge. If i twist it around it might charge. The cord close to where i put charger in is tearing. I read i also might need a new battery. Any help is appreciated since it just died and won't charge.I have a hp pavillion g6 and have had it for about 9 monthsThanks!
According to your description, it's more likely that your DC jack caused this problem but not your charger. Do a simple test first before you purchase a new charger. Connect it with a known working charger and see is your laptop work. If the problem continues, then it's your power jack that was broken. It need to be resoldered.
Q:I have a Compaq CQ70 220-EM and I've had it about a year now.In that time I have been through about eight chargers. The one that came with the laptop lasted for six months.I did accidentally break my laptop once but it got fixed.Could it be that one of the pins inside the laptop has broken? And how does a pin inside the laptop break the chargers? Is there any other reason why this could be happening. Thanks in advance for your replies.
Yes it is possible that the repair is overloading the chargers. If the pins were not soldered on correctly and theirs a short it could be causing the chargers to work harder and overheat. Only other reason would be if you have a lot of fluctuations in power from your outlet. A voltage regulator could help with that. But if you don't see your lights dimming frequently (caused by 'brown outs') then I doubt that is the problem.
Q:go chargers!!
I'm looking forward to watching Norv Turner run that team into the ground too
Q:Can you charge an iPhone 3g with a standard iPod charger? And can you charge your iPhone 3g in the car with a charger made for the regular iPhone?
No. the charger has to be made for the iphone. If you try charging it with a normal ipod charger its going to put the phone in airplane mode. As a result you wont be able to receive or make calls while its charging.
Q:hey! i was wondering if u can use the motorola l6 or razr charger for the new sidekick 2008 without making any damages?
just use the charger it came with. i never use a different phones charger on my phone
Q:Hey guys can I put a different types of rechargeable batteries in my sanyo battery charger?
Look at the plate on the charger. It will usually identify what type of batteries it can accept. Typically dual chemistry chargers (NiCD and NiMH) have a switch to go from one type to the other. Do NOT mix and match battery types and/or sizes in the same charge cycle. They have different cutoff times and charge rates depending on battery capacity and chemistry.
Q:I have a compaq presario V5000. the battery that came with it a few years back was replaced a few months ago by a much larger battery (8800mAh). The charger that originally came with the laptop died on me a few weeks back so i replaced it with a compatible one that i bought on the internet. The new charger gets extremely hot. hot to the point where i do not leave it plugged in unattended. the OKorder seller sent me a new charger and this one also heats up. Do you think the charger heating up because its struggling to keep up with such a large battery? if so, why did my charger that was original to the laptop never get hot and it lasted for months after the new, larger battery was installed.
A power adapter is just that. when you are using it as a power lead and it is working it will generate heat, nothing un usual about that. The amount of heat is the problem (I can sometimes use mine as a heat pad for my back).are the 2 adapters rated the same (old v new) the battery is charge is controlled from a Board inside the laptop. I bet if you take the Battery out of the laptop and use it it will still generate heat. if its to much then a bad quality adapters is being used, just like the cheap christmas tree light that people buy that catch fire and burn the tree.
Q:I just gone looking for my charger and realised my phone charger is still plugged into wall at work! I am not back in until wed and can ring tomorrow- but am really worried now it will overheat overnight.am i over worrying and is there a mechanism that will eventually make the charger cool down? Am so worried.
No worries. I leave my charger plugged in all the time and it doesn't do anything unless I plug the phone into. If the phone finishes charging, it simply stop drawing electricity from the charger. The only way these things are going to overheat is if you put it in an oven or set it on fire.
Q:Going on vacation an I need a wall charger for my iPod touch 2G.I can only find one kind of wall charger. It says compatible with iPod but doesn't say which iPod? So is it compatible with all the iPods?
This Site Might Help You. RE: Does ipod wall charger work for all kinds ipods? Going on vacation an I need a wall charger for my iPod touch 2G. I can only find one kind of wall charger. It says compatible with iPod but doesn't say which iPod? So is it compatible with all the iPods?
Q:I am having NiCd batery of 700mAh and also by mistake i purchased NiMH baterry charger. Can i use NiMh charger for charging NiCd baterry.
No. The chemistry of the battery is different and you will damage a NiCad by charging it in a NiMH charger. Some chargers are 'smart chargers' and can charge either. Check and make sure your charger isn't a smart charger. If not, maybe you can take it back and get the right charger.
