Q:i have a voyager from verizon, and it broke so i moved phone companiesthe charger slot broke , it wouldnt charge.but my friend had the same phone and she said to get the universal charger, they sell them at radio shack. she said itll charge your phones' battery cause hers broke as well. is this true? i have never heard of one, and i dont wanna feel stupid asking radio shack and them not having it. i want my voyager back, :)

a universal charger is just that, it will charge all batteries. The charger is controlled by a microprocessor and knows how to charge the battery. One warning, make sure that the universal charger is made to charge the battery TYPE that you are using. Maha makes a nice universal charger, and radio shack sells it, but it is not made to charge lithium batteries.

almost all of them. Walmart, objective, ultimate purchase, Sears, etc etc etc. in the event that they sell electronics, they probable sell those too. you will get them in many Truck stops and a few convenience shops too

laptop battery's tend to not last that long on certain manufacturers. check the battery and bring it to get tested or purchase a new battery.

I left my charger at my mom's house and bought a cheap one at Marshall's (a universal bb charger - it had 2 different attachments to fit into any blackberry) because I didn't want to spend $30 on a new one at Verizon. It worked fine but sometimes I had to make sure it was at the right angle to charge. Now that I got my old charger back, the original blackberry one, it doesn't work? Only the old, crappy charger works. What gives?

When you say that the Marshall's charger has to be at the right angle, do you mean you have to wiggle the charger? I think you may have damaged the charging port and that's why your original charger doesn't work. As for the screen coming on when you plug in your original charger, the plug made a momentary contact so the screen came on. However, the plug is not able to maintain connection so that's why the phone isn't charging.

No, some are competible, others will kill your battery. You can try to solder the line, thats the main defect with this chargers. Find one online, about$ 40-50. The VOLTS and the WATTS is CRITICAL!
