FAQ
1. How do I decide which system is right for me ?
For protection from long outages, include a generator or solar panels in your Must solar system. Shorter outages can be handled by a battery-only system.
2. Where my system will be installed ?
Must solar systems are usually wall-mounted near a home's main electrical (circuit breaker) panel.
3. How do I install my system ?
A must solar backup inverter is connected to a home electric system , we will supply detailed installation manual and videos for our customers .
How fast will my system respond to a power outage ?
Must solar inverters typically transfer to battery power in less than 16 milliseconds (less than 1/50th of a second).
What kind of batteries do the systems include ?
Must solar backup electric systems use special high-quality electric storage batteries.
- Q: I'm about to buy one but I don't really know which one is best for my home.
- Talk okorder has good info. What state are you in?
- Q: if car companies install solar panels on cars, like in all the car were the sun can reach that would reduce the consumption of gas in the summer, and might save some energy for winter and if that energy is not enough they can use gas or electricity i think that would be a lot of savings, and less contamination i don't know that is my idea what do you people think?
- Understanding Physics and something about electrical power is normally needed to solve this problem. Here is some info that may help put it into perspective: One average solar panel approx 3ft. X 4 ft may produce 00 watts of power during peak performance times. A VERY small car will require a minimum of say 0-30 HP to be viable. (An old VW had 40HP) 00 Watts continuously will produce about 0. HP (/0 of one HP), so to get 20 HP, I would need how many panels? About 0 panels to get one Horsepower? Where do I put them? note: ONE HORSEPOWER = 746 WATTS SOLAR IS GREAT, BUT NOT CHEAP AND NOT RELIABLE ENOUGH IN MOST AREAS TO DEPEND ON FOR NECESSITIES. IT IS VERY GOOD FOR SUPPLEMENTAL POWER USES AND CAN REDUCE OUR USE OF CONVENTIONAL FORMS.
- Q: my solar car works when using the Battery but when there is sunlight i connect the wires to the solar panel and it does not work...................HELP
- leave the car in the sun for a few hours to see if it charges. if not, the panel is defective. get it replaced b4 the science fair
- Q: Can solar panels be installed on a prison or correctional facility?
- Yes, solar panels can be installed on a prison or correctional facility. Installing solar panels can help reduce the facility's reliance on traditional energy sources and lower its carbon footprint. Additionally, it can save money on electricity costs in the long run. However, there may be certain security considerations and regulations that need to be addressed to ensure the panels do not pose any risks or vulnerabilities.
- Q: am having a 75 watts siemens solar panel and is giving me 2.89volts during bright light, i wanted to know can this be used to charge 00Am/hr battery?
- Many of the panels used on homes are designed to produce 2 volts DC. 0 of them wired in a series would produce 20 volts DC. An inverter is used to change the DC voltage to AC. The other aspect of electricity is amperage. With electrical units wired in series the voltage is added. When they are wired in parallel the amperage is added. The Volts x Amps produced will give you the wattage. A wise homeowner will examine their electric bills or the equipment used to determine their demand. They will consult tables that let them know how much sunlight their area receives each year as this will alter the rated performance of the panels. Then they will try and determine how much of the demand they want to fill. 80% may be economical. Then they also want to determine what they will do with excess electricity that may be produced during the summer months of intense sun and how they will supply the shortfall of low sun winter months. From all this they will determine the number of solar panels they need to purchase.
- Q: So you know how the bigger the surface area exposed to the heat radiation means the quicker it'll heat up.Is this what happens with solar panels, they have a large surface area exposing to the sun, so they can get more heat?
- Solar panels do heat up. But that's because the radiant energy from the Sun that lies within the infrared (IR) band of energy causes the material in the panels to heat up. And that's the same for any body that has the Sun shine on it. Your face, for example, will heat up while you get a nice tan on the beach. That's due to the heat producing IR radiant energy. Now if those solar panels are supposed to heat buildings etc., that heat produced in the panels when the IR strikes them will be transferred, usually by some fluid, to floors of the rooms to be heated. And as the amount of heat generated by the Sun is proportional to the area of the solar panels, bigger areas of panel will generate more heat than smaller areas. Photoelectric solar panels are another kind. Here the interest is in the visible band of radiant energy from the Sun. Heat, from IR, is still there, but it is not the product sought by PE solar panels. The visible light photons knock off loosely bound electrons from the photoelectric material (typically silicon based) and those electrons are siphoned off as current. That's where the electrical power comes from for buildings using PE solar panels to provide their own electricity.
- Q: i really love the idea of solar and want to start out small, so i'm new to this.I plan on getting an 85w panel to charge my laptop. what other equipment is needed to accomplish this?would i need to get a battery or does the solar panel hook directly to the laptop. Does one end just lead to a conventional outlet similar to a wall outlet?could someone please give me a detailed explanation with options about this? i would greatly appreciate it.
- humm..... .need HUGE solar panel (alot) 2. wires 3. aligato clips . put the panels on the roof 2. use the aligator clip to clip the wire from the panel to the bars of the pluger of the comp. charger 3.tada mark me best:)
- Q: Aren't batteries bad for the environment?Toxic?Expensive? With small solar panels phones, iPod's, laptops other small electronics could be smaller, slimmer, more efficient cost people less to charge every day. Maybe a small battery inside as a backup and to store the Solar energy for night time. But overall, batteries should be optional. So big question:Why aren't electronics being produced with solar panels?
- Yes your right, solar panels (photovoltics) could be used to make electricity for small electronics. Right now solar cells are on many calculators, and even flashlight. But the problem is the lenght of time the cells take to charge the device, verses the power demand. I don;t think the size of the panels, and the amount of time needed to charge the device are practical. One think I have been thinking is that every one should have a photovoltaic panel to charge a battery. Then, use the battery to charge cell phones, MP3 palyers. The panel and the battery could be about the 8 x inches, and could sit in window, or on a dash board to get charged, then used in doors over night to charge devices.
- Q: Is it possible for the everyday person to increase the efficiency of solar panels that they own? If so, how is it done?
- There are 3 (simple) ways to increase the efficiency of a solar panel at home - they all work by increasing the amount of light that falls onto it: . Have the solar panel track the sun throughout the day so that it always faces it; 2. Place a lens (larger than the panel) in front of the panel that focuses the light from the sun onto it. 3. Have mirrors around the panel than redirect light from themselves onto the solar panel. (e.g. imagine a satellite dish with the solar panel at the front and the dish being all mirrored.)
- Q: Can solar panels be installed on a museum or cultural institution?
- Yes, solar panels can be installed on a museum or cultural institution. In fact, many museums and cultural institutions have embraced renewable energy and are installing solar panels to reduce their carbon footprint and energy costs. These panels can be placed on rooftops, parking lots, or even integrated into the building's architecture, providing a sustainable energy source while preserving the aesthetic appeal of the institution.
