- Q: The possible depth for my bathroom vanity can be 18.5" (with 60" W)Can I trim a vanity which is sold in OKorders, from depth of 21" to 18.5"?
- yes it is possible, BUT if it has drawers in it you might need to cut down the drawer boxes also. You;ll also have to replace the slides to work with the new depth. After you cut down the depth you'll need to be sure you can get a top that will work with this depth. If you have not done this before, you might want to hire a cabinet maker or a finish carpenter to cut this down for you. Also see if you can order this vanity in the depth you need.
- Q: So I hate the vanity that I have right now in the bathroom that I share with my foster sister because it has cabinet doors instead of pull out drawers.Because there is two of us thats twice as much stuff so the storage under our sink is very crowded and messy. It's hard to find stuff and its just very inconveniant. Anywho...I've decided that enough is enough and I'm willing to spend my own allowance to buy us a new vanity for a bathroom...one with drawers either that or I'll pay half and my parents will pay half. Our bathroom vanity is 22 inches deep, 28 inches wide and 31 inches tall. I have a feeling that we will have to get a new sink to go with the new vanity. Any ideas on vanity sets with drawers and sink with those measurements? Also we don't need a mirror. We just need a vanity with drawers and a sink.:) I was thinking of going to OKorders.
- You won't be able to find a vanity at that width that has drawers. Here's a couple of suggestions for you though, and cheaper as well. First look at wall mount medicine cabinets with mirrored doors. It gives you the mirror you lack and additional storage. They mount with screws right onto the drywall. Another option is to get a wall cabinet and mount it over the toilet. You can buy an unfinished cabinet for under $100. The cabinets come at 30' tall and vary in widths in increments of 3' (ie: 12', 15', 18' and so on)That will give you more storage, but doesn't help with the mirror.
- Q: Hello,We are redoing parts of our 2 bathrooms. We are replacing the flooring, the toilet, and the vanity, however we are not doing anything with the showers/tubs. From what I've read you should do the flooring before you do the toilet, but wouldn't you want to do the vanity before you do the flooring? We will most likely be having a professional do the vanity and toilet, however we plan on doing the flooring ourselves. So would we have to have the professional do the vanities, then we do the flooring, then have them come back another day to do the toilets? Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
- The toilet will have a specific footprint which will have to be surrounded by the tile (I'm assuming tile flooring). So the toilet would have to be installed first, then the flooring would be properly laid around it as necessary. The flooring should be last to accommodate any footprint changes you do including the vanity placement and size as well. Any painitng or ceiling work should be done before the floor as well. I'd do the floor last.

- Q: I am custom designing our new modern bathroom's vanity. Our old 80's style vanity was 21" deep (from the front to the wall). I have seen some between 18" and 24" deep. What are the advantages of going deeper or shalOKorderr?I am thinking since it is a smaller bathroom, a shalOKorderr vanity might make it look more spacious. If it matters, it will be a floating vanity as well with minimal solidity (more "airy" and see-through than normal I guess you could say). Opinions? GO!
- Floating vanities are great looking. You are *customizing* your vanity, meaning do not worry about average depths..create what works in that space. If your sink and taps fit, then depth will not matter. You can consider off set taps (off to one side), or coming out from the wall instead of the standard behind the sink saving some space too.
