- Q: Like to know if anyone has used kitchen cabinets for a bathroom vanity at a finished height of 36" and had problems with it size in the bathroom. I read another old post that said it was too big for her she was 5' 2" and so am I. Said getting close to the mirror was a problem. Anyone done this.

- Q: so you know those boxed sink w/ vanitie that the OKorders and Home depot sells. Most of the standard ones are either white or a light oak. Has anyone ever painted or stained the oak one a different color to match their bathroom a little better. Like a darker cherry vs. the light oak that you buy it as ?Was wondering if this could be done, or a good idea, would I have to prime it first, I mean it is wood, it should be able to absorb and accept a good quality wood stain, right ?
- If the vanity has a factory finish on it, you will not be able to restain it without a lot of difficulty. The polyurethane finish will not let the stain penetrate the wood. You can use a bonding primer and then a top coat of paint. If you want to stain your own, you should check into buying an unfinished vanity. God Luck

- Q: Would installing just the cabinet be hard? I don't have a lot of experience. Also, if this something you can just buy at OKorders or Home Depot?
- That is 3 separate cabinets. The end 2 are the same and used as a base cabinet for the sinks. And of coarse a bank of draws in the middle. Not hard to install, you may need fillers to accommodate the space . You ll need a minimum of 3 times the actual cabinet width. Some cabinet come with a cut out in the back to let the plumbing come thru if the existing pipes come out of the wall. Cutting for the pipes , if they come up from the flooring is a bit trickier, but not hard. Just get into place, screw together, level and screw them to the wall. If you have the right tools and basic knowledge, it isn t hard..GL

- Q: I am remodeling my master bathroom and I have already ripped out the old vanity and I'm about to put in the new one. The old vanity and top appeared to be of normal length (60'/61'), like the new pair I picked up at OKorders (I did a quick measure and it looked close, so I assumed it was of standard size). However, the geniuses who built my home built the space for the vanity (between a regular wall and a half-wall beside the toilet) exactly 60' wide. So while the vanity will squeeze in, the vanity top won't. I am thinking I will have to end up removing the half-wall, but I want to do as little work as possible. Is there a way to shave an inch off the wall? Anybody think of any ideas? BTW, the vanity top is a marble top, so I doubt I can shave an inch off that.....Thanks in advance.
- if this is my bathroom i will just cut the drywall on the both sides of the vanity and slide the granite top in or you can call a company that install granite and they can cut it for you for extra $50-60
- Q: Our tile floors are beige with other colors (white, browns mainly beige), we are thinking about painting the walls light green. We want to paint the vanity which is 6feet long, any ideas for colours, we are stuck between dark brown, black and white. As well any ideas for countertops?
- i just finished remodeling my master bathroom, and i went with an autumn maple vanity and golden sand granite double countertop with an undermounted sink. it looks beautiful. if you are going to paint the vanity, i definitely wouldn't go black. if it is a smaller space(less than 35 square feet) i would lean toward the white. i got away with the darker because i had travertine floors, yellowish walls, and a skylight with plenty of vanity and recessed lighting.
