Q:I live in the NE USA. I have an apartment porch with another porch on top of it, so I get sun in the afternoon, into early evening. I have to have a garden on the porch because any indoor plants will get eaten by the cats. I'd like to be able to plant some seeds in planters (either the long ones or in pots) and keep them on the porch to bloom and grow. I'm not sure what kind of plants would grow well in my area and under those conditions. herbs and green onions would be great...they grow relatively quickly and can be both useful and beautiful...some herbs even flower =) many popular herbs generally crave full sun, but can grow in partial full sun...mine are as far as houseplants...you may want to give your cats a treat...plant catnip! it is pretty, green and cats LOVE it =) as far as flowers, you may want to check your local home and garden store for the most appropriate plants for your area...i'm in louisiana, so i'd probably be wrong on that one

Q:Some A$$H0LE applied pesticides to my entire home garden, and left a pesticides application sign. I want to know if the vegetables I grew are still safe to eat after I clean it.

Actually if what you mean by cleaning is soaping and rinsing it, PERHAPS it may be safe to eat it. But precaution is safer by delaying harvesting your vegetables. Most pesticides usually loss effects after a week. After this period, you can harvest your veggies for consumption. Be sure to wash it very well before using.

I think Home and Garden also went out of business. I loved these types of parties, but I think what happens in the long run is that people don't need home interiors stuff all the time and they don't purchase from the same company all the time. So hard to get return buyers consistently. If you are going to do it because you love it and not really worried about make huge money...then go for it. Work with a direct sale home decor company. I really believe in direct sales...so you can make your own schedule. Try looking at the Direst Sellers Association Web Site. Members of this association are running their businesses under strict standards. They should have a list on their web site. Also research the company’s compensation plan. How you get paid. Some companies are much better than others. Best companies only promote you when you help you team members grow their business. Should have a bonus pay out to you if one of your team members does better than you. This encourages a good work ethic. The way some companies compensation plans work...it sort of hinders the sponsor from helping the team member do to well. If they pass their sponsor by the sponsor will lose money...so sponsor may not encourage great success for team member. Also look at the company’s products and try to pick a company that offers some sort of product that people need to purchase again and again. Could be because you weren't with your friend anymore. When you got home you felt lonely. Or you could be suffering from some kind of obsessive shopping disorder. These types of people only feel happy when shopping. Then when shopping is over they feel sad. These types of people end up in debt. Try to find other things that make you feel happy. Like get a pet. A dog or a cat. Or crochet or knit. Jump rope. Create a copping skills list. Get creative. I know depression is hard. I have it too.

Q:i dont have pets however my neighbor in this duplex does have 3 dogs, she is elderly and isnt able to take great care of her pets and they have fleas and use the bathroom indoors all the time. The fleas are infesting my carpet, vacuming doesnt help and i have a newborn and cant bomb the home or use many sprays, i called a pest control center and they dont have an infant safe flea spray please help is there anything i can do!!
