- I have a Bissel Proheat carpet steamer and it works very well. It uses hot water and has a built-in heater to keep the water hot. By the combination of a good sale and Rewards coupons, I got for it around $100 at Best Buy. It was a great investment, one I definitely do not regret. If your carpet is light beige and very dirty, it might take extra effort to clean it the first time (spot treating, going over the same area more than once, etc.), but after that you can simply use your steam cleaner once a month or so for maintenance. - Get yourself a piece of 'rug canvas' and buy a 'rug hook' and several different 'colors' of 'rug yarn' to 'fit' the size of canvas and hook. Start 'hooking' in any 'corner' and just go across to the next corner, then back ... and you can 'draw your own design' or just use 'different colors' randomly ... and the 'hook' should have 'instructions' on how to use it. It's best if you buy the 'already cut' yarn and fold it in half when you 'hook' but if you do that with your 'first' rug (which can be really small until you learn how to 'hook well') then you can decide whether you want to 'cut your own yarn' when you do your next rug. I've hooked many 'rugs' and wall hangings, and it's a 'total blast' ... but I can't do it any more due to rheumatoid arthritis ... so you can now have 'all the fun' I'd have, with my blessing.

- Yes they do, but I don't know what there called, there at bed bath and Beyond, wall mart, maybe home depot too, there like a rubber material that goes under the rug and prevents it from moving. All different sizes.

- No, it doesn't. The most bombed country in history was North Vietnam, and they were scarcely subdued - they ended up winning the war! I wonder if you've been reading Mitchell and Douhet's theories? In reality, air bombing is very effective against point targets or small-area suppression. But trying to carpet-bomb with conventional explosives simply creates alot of collateral damage. It doesn't give you any additional military effectiveness while putting your air-fleet at much greater risk.
