I'm sitting on a leather office desk chair that I purchased at Office Depot 10 years ago and have had absolutely no stability problems, breakage or durability problems with the plastic coasters or the the base to which they are attached. The secretary chair which is upholstered is over 15 years old has plastic feet and coasters and hasn't had any issues either. We are very hard on our office furniture and have found plastic to be easy to keep clean and just as durable as metal (which in our case rusted over time on a metal based and castored wingbacked office chair we once had).

Q:I'm doing an independent study project on color and I have to find a game based on color.SO, I decided to do Musical Chairs.Problem is that I'm not sure how to incorporate it into Musical Chairs.

I would send out invites at least 2 wks before the party. If you send out a rsvp number which I prefer and then you wouldnt have to worry about losing something in the mail. Making it an email address would be even better. Picture frames make good gifts, and candles that match your color themes would be good too along with matching ribbon. Mixed cds would be good and asking people to also bring cds would make sure there are lots of options but then you have to make sure to get the cds back to people. I would have the party start around 6 and end around 10 since parents will probably not want to pick them up later than that. Hope its a blast!

if I were you, I'd get two matching armed chairs for the 'king and queen' at the ends of the table and use these on the side of the table..... and I'd make the two chairs be along simpler lines, but still beautiful on their own... like maybe in leather on wingbacks... or a lovely damask on parson's chairs skirted to the floor....

Q:Which do you prefer? This would be for a dining set in cast aluminum that looks like wrought iron and would be used on a wooden deck (not a patio). I like the look of dining chairs (i.e., with legs) because I prefer a traditional style with my old house, but I'm wondering if swivel chairs would be more comfortable and practical on a deck (no legs to get caught in the cracks). Opinions?

Swivel, because it allows the user to position themselves in any direction with little effort (i.e., out of the sun, in the sun, to watch a volleyball match, to watch the kiddies swim, etc.)

Q:Over the years the foam in my leather chair has lost its ability to to firmly support someone. Replacing the foam is not a DIY endeavour. Are there any reupholsters in the Toronto area who can do something like this at a reasonable cost? The ones I have contacted are too pricey.

Hi pc, I would suggest if you have any local Upholstery Schools ( colleges Night Classes etc ) in your area you may want to call them and inquire of any available help with your chair cushion. Many times the students in class are willing to replace and repair as part of the upholstery classes. Which because they are students, this repair may cost you a lot less. Good Luck!
