- why bench press, seriously, why bench press? if you are new and want to gain mass, the best exercise is the squat. but back to bench press, i think it is over rated. i understand the popularity of the bench press, but it is really necessary? instead of bench press, try pushups. if that's too easy, try pushups with your feet elevated on a chair. if that's too easy, try elevated pushups with a backpack on your back. you guessed it, the next step is to put weights or heavy books in your backpack. I just know that the progressively harder pushups will work you as well if not better than the bench press. but to your question, at 134lbs, you could put on 65lbs and do as many reps as you can. if you can do more than 10 reps, add 10lbs until you get to where you can only do about 10 reps. That's your start point. basically, pick a weight about half your bodyweight and trial/error to find your start point. good luck

- If you have dry skin I would not necessarily recommend a pressed powder. Pressed powders are made for oily skin types to help eliminate excess shine (oil). If you have dry skin you should use a moisturizer (designed specifically for FACE only), and possibly a sheer tinted moisturizer or sheer, hydrating foundation. I would avoid the powder as it will only aid your skin in soaking up whatever little moisture it might still have, and end up looking cakey and flaky. (Clinique has a few nice dry skin options for younger skin starting at around $18... drugstore I would stick to L'OREAL as they own LANCOME which is an amazingly good quality brand of makeup). LANCOME makes my favorite lip glosses but they are a bit pricey. Try Bath and Body Work's... they have wonderful flavors with just a hint of color, tons of good-for-your-lips moisture, and mega, mega shine! (Depending on sales, $5-$8)

I've worked really hard to get up to this point, but......100lbs dumbbells are the heaviest that my gym has, so I have to move on to the barbell. Since the dumbbells isolate both shoulders, I should technically be able to military press more with the barbell than I should with dumbbells, right? Does starting off at 205 or 215 sound like a good idea? I've only been lifting (seriously) for about 2 years, so I'm still somewhat of a noob.Thanks!
- Yeah, you can probably do as much as 245 lbs even In my experience (and this is none scientific at all) but in my experience, when I use barbells instead of dumbells for exercises like that (bench press, overhead press, bent over rows) - the amount of weight I can add to each side is almost identical to the weight of the dumbbells. So by that logic, you could add 100lbs to each side of a barbell, making the weight 245lbs HOWEVER, the form is slightly different, so I would advice to start at an even 200 and focus on perfecting the form. be careful with the changes. Watch your chin (you have to move your neck out of the way) and watch your back - you have to squeeze your glutes so your lower back doesn't arch. Also watch the positioning of your hands on the barbell as its slightly different. A narrower grip will work your shoulders primarily, but hit your triceps quite hard. A wider grip will work your shoulders and your upper chest the most.

- It's just automated cold calling. They're trying to find out which phone numbers they can get a response, any response, from. If you press 1 it means there's a person there, but if you press 2 it means there's a person there. It's sort of like those spam emails that say press this button if you don't want to receive future emails from us and you press that button and you still get emails from them because now they know it's a working email address. If you get to listen to the voicemail message they leave, they NEVER mention their name or the name of the company they are selling for, no phone number to call them back with so it is almost impossible to track these folks down (including the police) so even being on the Do Not Call list doesn't make any difference. If you can, ignore them completely, don't press anything, let them spend their money never connecting with anyone (well, I guess if you have a cell you do pay for incoming calls so maybe somoene ought to do something about that, but with a landline, you just delete the message and move on, don't respond to them ever. It's spam.

- Well, that depends. Ryan was partially right. In some schools the administration holds control of what goes into a paper, so it's not really free... Still, in the real world, the PUBLISHER has the final say (and he could be the owner or speaking for the owner) so even there the reporters and editors are not the final authority. However, I think what you are really saying is that you had some sort of problem along the lines of the regular press got to go in somewhere where you (as a high school or college reporter) were not allowed. I always felt the press was the press and should have free reign and access to all information and the ability to go where ever the news was. In other words, a reporter was a reporter, no matter WHAT paper or electronic media he was with. - i do 3 sets of 10...havent maxed out lately. but for leg press i do 380 for the first set and 400 for the last 2 not including the sled. and for leg curls i do 150 for the first 2 sets and 170 for the last one.
