- Q:I have an Expedition and want to change tire size from 255/70/16 to 265/75/16. Will the new tires fit the existing rim without any problem?
- Shouldn't be a problem but some tire outfits have a hissy fit if you want to have them put non-OEM size tires on your car.
- Q:About three days ago I bought some 22 rims and tires for a 2007 Chevy Tahoe. Well today all four sensors went on.I checked the tire pressure on all four tires and they seem to be good. My question is why would this happen? Do you think I just need to reset them?
- First off, you need to make sure the person that did your tires even put the tire pressure sensor valve stem in. he most likely didnt install them into your new rims. if he didnt, they are going to be a little pricey
- Q:truck tires
- For truck use the Michelin tires have consistently outperformed all other tires.
- Q:What do you do when your tired (besides sleep, haha)?
- well i try to keep my self awake by ether A-going outside for a few seconds B-changing socks ( sounds wierd but for me wakes me up a little more than i'd thought ) C-playing my DS/360/Wii ( especially Wii, some games make you move like an idiot so that helps ) D- splashing water on your face. always wakes me up a little bit more. I have to stay away from the coffee, to hyper normally so it just calms me down then I get really tired. I work Night Audit ( 11pm-7am ) as of right now, so i HAVE to keep my self awake. Usually have no problem since im a night owl, but sometimes i get really tired and just wanna sleep and cant!
- Q:what are the disadvantages of nitrogen filled tires?
- Can't think of any. Air is made up of 79% Nitrogen anyway, the other 21% being about 20% oxygen and 1% inert gases so because these gases are not in the tyre ther should be no difference. Tne only disadvantage I can see is in finding a pump that only produces nitrogen and the cost involved. I mean you would have to buy pressurised canisters. I can't thinmk of any particular advantage either. There are millions upon millions of tyres filled with air so why not just use that.
- Q:I recently asked a question about changing tires for a mountain bike to hybrid tires and got a helpful response leading me to Kenda tires. i‘ve looked into them, but i‘m unsure what to use them for, exactly? they seem to have some road bike-type tread tires, but are they for mountain bikes?
- I have used Kenda tires for quads with good results. When it comes to my street bike I spend the few extra bucks for Dunlop's or Avon's.There's no way i 'd run a cheap tire on the road especially on a fast or a heavy bike.
- Q:I’ve worn the tread of my tires and was wondering what tires to buy?
- really depends on the type of riding you do. and how much you want to spend. for cross country, there is everything from dry tires to mud tires, and everything in between. Ones with a continuous tread in the middle are better for using on the road if you don't want to give up mountain tires but use roads frequently. If you are usually on the road, I'd get some slicks or semi-slicks to reduce rolling resistance, and rotating mass. You can get tires for under $10 to well over $100 each, so determine the type of riding you'll be doing, and go from there for the level of quality. There are many different companies, but like anything, they make cheap ones and high end ones. The style of tire is more important than the manufacturer.
- Q:Can someone tell me how to rotate my tires on my ‘94 Honda Civic? I can‘t find it anywhere in the owner‘s manual.I just need to know where the back ones go and where the front ones go. Thanks.

- Trun signals are not required on a motorcycle in Colorado. A rear view mirror is. Also a helmet if you are under 18.
- Q:Does anybody know whether the 2004 Tacoma TRD tires are better off road than regular tires?I have regular tires on there now but if the TRD tires that come on it are better off road than regular tires then I am going to purchase a set of the TRD tires to put back on it. Please let me know.
- The TRD tires were probably BFGoodrich Rugged Trails as opposed to the Dunlop Grandtrek regular tires. The Rugged trails do have more more agressive tread and are a slightly larger size. The Rugged Trails are decent trail tires but they are not sought-after as replacements. The Grandreks or similar handle many types of trails well, especially if you have the electric rear differential locker. I would certainly try them on the types of trails you like to use and see how they do. Replacing tires is expensive--I would only swap them out if a change is really needed. If you decide you do need a more trail-biased tire, there are many tire choices that would likely be more satisfying than the Rugged Trails. The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A, Yokohama Geolander AT, General Grabber A/T, Kumho Road Venture AT and similar tires have better trail grip than the Rugged Trails while maintaining good road handling characteristics. You could also go with a radial mud tire for even more aggressive tread. Tires such as the BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain KM or KM2, Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac and others are very well-suited for off-road conditions and are still fairly quiet and well-mannered on the street.
