- Q: what is the definition of the word floor in C++?
- I'm guessing this is the floor() function in the cmath library. The floor() function is the greatest integer function which you may know from mathematics. floor(x) returns the largest integer less than or equal to x. Examples: floor(2.5) returns 2 floor(0) returns 0 floor(12.999) returns 12 floor(-13.5) returns -14 (because -14 is the largest integer which is LESS THAN OR EQUAL TO -13.5) Hope this helps.
- Q: floor hockey
- can't you just call it stickhandling like we do in icehockey?
- Q: hen I was in Florida I went to a hotel called the crown plaza in Orlando and I was in the lift when I noticed there was a fourteenth and and a twelfth floor but no thirteenth floor and It wasn't a staff floor or anything cause I counted the floors on the way up by looking at the numbers on the walls ( It was a glass lift) . Anyway I was wodnering do you think it's something paranormal ? or did they just forget to put the floor there? Or is it a superstitious thing?
- A lot of hotels skip the 13th floor in the elevator because people don't want to stay on the 13th floor because they think it's bad luck. Really the 14th floor is actually the 13th floor but they call it that so people don't complain to the hotel and asked to be moved when they get stuck on the 13th floor.
- Q: Solid wood three-tier solid wood floor horizontal What is the meaning? Solid wood teak "bamboo charcoal" floor how to explain? Solid wood three layers of real law enforcement spirits to take too but the coffee floor and multi-layer solid wood flooring as well? more simple the better, thank you more
- Economic conditions permitting, as far as possible with three layers, multi-layer floor surface is too thin, easy to scratch.
- Q: How does the wooden floor hang on the wall, that is, how the floor hangs on the wall
- The distance between the two pillars is 85 cm, the hole in the side of the pillar is 53 cm, the floor can be inserted into the pillar, the four floors are A exhibits
- Q: is there an easy way to clean white interior latex paint off a wood floor? i'm kind of afraid to use anything "dangerous" in case I discolor the floor.
- Are you cleaning up paint spatters or a spill? Or are the floors painted and you want to return them to bare wood? What I found that works great on spatters and spills is a product called OOPS! It's made by the same company that makes Goo Gone, a remover for that pesky label glue. I bought mine at the local hardware store. It's got a funny smell but it's not terrible. Spray the offending spots and let the product soak for awhile. Then take a razor blade and gently scrape the spots. It may very well take more than one application and scraping to get the paint off. When you get down to the last little bit, take a soft brush and scrub the area and the OOPS! will pull the paint out of the grain in most cases. I've used this stuff to remove spatters from oak wainscoting and trim. It takes patience and a little work but it gets the job done. If you are dealing with painted floors, the only way to remove the paint is either use a stripper or a sander and then refinish. For most people, this is not a DIY job because floor sanding is tricky.
- Q: broken pipe in slab flooring
- Depends on local codes. But Sharkbite fittings are certified for underground use so putting them in the floor should be alright. Good luck!
- Q: Will water hurt Pargo flooring
- I wouldn't recommend it for the kitchen or bath areas. Hardwood floors are wonderful in living rooms, hallways, and on stairs, but you really have to think about the pros and cons of them when you consider installing them in rooms that have the potential to become wet frequently, like kitchens. This is because continuous exposure to water, such as might happen around the sink or dishwasher, can cause warping or buckling, which will mean portions of the floor will need to be replaced down the line
- Q: I am installing a bathroom but have been advised to only use wood, not tile or ceramic, flooring directly on top of the concrete because the tile will crack. What are my options?? The basement is poured if that makes a difference.
- Concrete is a great base for tile. However, if you have areas where you patched new concrete next to old, it will crack at the joint. In this event, use a crack supression under the tile. I am all for laminate in the basement. However, I would discourage in a bathroom due to the large amount of water. Check out this website for a product to put down under the tile.
- Q: What gets ink stains from a pen off the floor?
- In carpet? Nothing but bleach and I wouldn't do that...
