Q:so when i turn the water on this horrible smell comes from the bathroom sink. what can i use to get rid of it?

Bleach is a good chemical to put down there like PJ says. If the smell is actually coming from the drain, then maybe your drain systems vent pipe is plugged. It will be a pipe that goes all the way up and out of your roof right above your sink. Have someone climb up there with a garden hose and see if the water goes through up there or if it over flows. If it overflows, then your vent is plugged and needs clearing out. The vent allows the trap in your sink to retain some water in it so that the sewer smell doesn't come back up out of the drain. If the vent is plugged, then the sewer gases will try to vent back out of your drain up into your room.

Q:The cover over the drain on my bathroom sink wont open or close. Its barely open right now. But when I move the stick up or down the stopper wont move. The stick moves up and down just fine its just the stopper. If someone could please tell me how to fix this or give me a website that shows pictures and instructions that would be great.

Go to Lowe's and tell them the problem. You need a little part- a screw. It's only like $2.

I have both and of the two I really like the pedestal sink...my one piece vanity looks dated. Something I really like is a old antique dresser/bureau and you cut a hole in the top and inlay a porcelain sink...it looks AWESOME!!!!
