- Q: 14. Three parallel wires carry currents, with magnitudes and in the directions shown in the figure below. The wires all lie in a plane, and are all 2 m long, with separations between them as shown in the figure. What is the total force on wire #3 due to wire #1 and wire #2? Wire 1 : 6A, 2.5 m from Wire 3 ---------------------gt;Wire 2: 3A, 1.0 m from Wire 3 lt;--------------------Wire 3: 3A ---------------------gt;Can't figure it out, any hints/suggestions?
- force between two current carrying wires per unit length = 10^-7*2i_1*i_2/a if current is in same direction force is attractive else repulsive.. now you use this and solve yourself.. as it is not clear from the data you provided.. whether the wire 3 is in middle or left end or right end.. but i have told you the concept.. i hope this helps.. if u need more help provide me with the image
- Q: Are two wires of the same material but different in thickness and length? Are their young's modulus of elasticity the same?
- According to Hooke's law, in the elastic limit of an object, the stress is proportional to the strain, and the coefficient of proportionality is called the young's modulus (Y). Express as a formula:Y= (F - L) / (S - L)Y is numerically equal to the stress produced by unit strain. Its units are the same as those of the force. Young's modulus is the property of a material, independent of force and shape of an object.Young's modulus (Young's, modulus) is a noun in mechanics of materials. When the elastic material is subjected to the positive stress, it will produce a positive strain, defined as the ratio of the forward stress to the positive strain. The formula is denoted as E = sigma / epsilonAmong them, E represents Young's modulus, sigma represents positive stress, and epsilon represents positive strain.Young's modulus is large, indicating that in compression or tensile material, the deformation of the material is small.
- Q: i need to know how to rewire it to make it fire the only wire that is still there is the one that runs to the distributor cap all the other wires are gone is it sopose to wire to the key please help
- Go to library. Find basic book on automotive repair. Follow directions.
- Q: im installing a JVC raido in my 1990 nissan maxima and cant figure out how to properly conect the wires
- the radio comes with a wiring harness the easiest way to do it would be go to a pepboys, bestbuy, or autozone and get a radio wiring harness for 1990 maxima. this way all u have to do is splice the colored wires that match the same colored wires from the radio harness. once that`s done all u have to do it plug in back of radio and the car harness. the car harness will run u bought 18.00 but its worth it to do the job right
- Q: I have a Hunter 5 minute fan. I have four wires coming from my ceiling. Red, Black, White, and Bare Copper. The Fan has a Green Wire, Black Wire, White WIre,and a Black/White striped Wire. The Ceiling Plate also has green wire. I know to connect the black to black, red to black/white striped, white to white. But for the green and copper wires, do I connect the copper wire from the ceiling to the green wire in the ceiling plate and also to the green wire from the fan?
- For the best answers, search on this site https://shorturl.im/avzAc After reading your additional details, It is my understanding that you only have the green wire on the mounting plate. You have no other ground wire from your house wiring, as well as none from your remote box wiring. You only have hot and neutrals. Don't worry about that wire. cap it off and tuck it away. Your house is too old to have a ground. It is a safety wire in case of a short / over current. It wont affect the fan working. If you had a bare wire coming out of the box in your house you would connect it there.
- Q: i need to know what wire goes where
- A little background here. Your dryer is a 220 volt appliance and until recently they had only 3 wires to it, to match the receptacle. Now they seperated the neutral (white) and the ground (green or bare copper) but the two still attach to the same busbar at your electrical power panel. So heres the color schematic you need. Your dryer hot wires are yellow and blue and attach to the red and black wires which are 110 volt hot wires from the panel (together they add up to 220) , the white wires go together as these are your neutral wires which return power to the panel thus completing your circuit, the green or bare copper wire can be attached to the white wires or attached to the metal electrical box if you have one as the equipment box. Your receptacle box may be plastic which then you have no choice but to attach it to the white wires. If you have a electrical meter, it would show 110 volts across either the red/yellow or blue/black wires to either the white or green wires, with 220 volts measuring across the red/yellow and blue/black connections. There is no appliance that runs on 220 volts but rather 2 110 volt circuits, which in a dryer one 110 v circuit runs the timer and lights while the other runs the heating element itself. Be sure to turn off the breaker before attempting and make sure your connections are good and tight or youll have problems. Good luck
- Q: the ground wire came loose and touched the power wire for a second and created a big spark . the fuses aren't blown what else can i check or fix because the amp won't turn on now.
- Depends on where the ground wire touched. If the ground wire contacted the power line outside the amp, then it *should* be OK. Excess current would have flowed directly from the power wire to the ground wire, not through the amp. Some amplifiers are fused on both the positive and negative power leads, so you need to check both fuses. If the ground wire contacted something inside the amplifier, then you probably blew a power regulator chip or some other part of the internal circuitry, again depending upon exactly where the ground wire touched. In that case, you're on the spot for either a repair bill or a replacement.
- Q: I have two ceiling lights in my kitchen that come into the same wiring box (light switch). It's a single light switch that controls both lights. I want to install a two fixture light switch so that I can turn on each light by itself. It looks like there are only two wires coming into the box...a black one and a white one (and a ground wire). The two-switch I bought is requiring three wires though. How do I wire this thing?
- You need a new cable from the light switch to the fixture and between the fixtures. Since you are in doubt about how and what to do this i suggest you hire a qualified professional electrician to do the work. The next choice is to buy a book on electrical wiring so you can understand what is needed and why.
- Q: I am getting these 2 CVR 12's 4 ohm dvc and i am wiring them for a 2 ohm load (parallel). When you run a wire from voice coil 1 positive to voice coil 2 positive, then to amp. and the same for negative, what is the wire that is connecting the voice coils? is it a power wire, ground wire, speaker wire? please help!
- Wire is just wire. Power wire = ground wire = speaker wire. So technically you can use anything to have that jumper wires. You can parallel EACH driver to have a 2 ohm load, but if you're wiring them to a monoblock, you can only get either a 1, 4, or 16 ohm load (do not go for 16, lol). You can get a 2 ohm load for the amp if its 2 channels and you plug each speaker like you said to a channel.
- Q: During a lab experiment, a straight piece of copper wire is connected across the terminals of an AC generator and the current through the wire was measured. If the wire is removed and a part of it is tightly wound into a loop of many coils and the wire is then reconnected to the generator, will the measured current through the wire be greater, lesser, or the same as it was before the wire was coiled? Explain your answer.
- Assuming the generator output voltage (RMS) remains constant the current will be less through the coil. By wrapping the wire into a coil it's resistance doesn't change but it's self inductance increases. AC in a wire produces an alternating (changing) magnetic field that is concentrated into a smaller space as a coil - so increasing it's strength and ability to link with the wire that produced it. When this changing magnetic field links (passes through) it's 'own' coils a self-induced 'back' EMF(voltage) is generated in the wire that opposes the 'forward' current from the generator (Lenz's law). If the geverator provides a pd = Vg and the back EMF = Vb, then the current in the coil is effectively being driven by a reduced pd = (Vg - Vb) .
