Q: I am using an ACER laptop in particular. So, is it safe to use the laptop when it is directly plugged in (battery pack removed)? I only do this while gaming and i think it preserves battery life if I do this.
Perfectly safe?
Q: AW 18650 Protected 2900 mAh 3.7 volt Rechargeable Lithium Battery.i want to replace the 2400 mAh 3.7 volt samsung cells in my laptop's battery pack, yes i know this is more expensive then getting a new battery pack.
u cannot change one cell pack, when you change one cell pack with new, other will have a problem like charging and discharging. laptop batteries will have more then 10v dc so it better u change all the cell pack with new,
Q: How long will a 8.4V 7-cell NiMh mini battery pack or a 9.4v battery last in my m4? And how long should i charge it for. What is a smart charger?
confident! The electrify is off. i bought D batteries for lamps. The batteries final for 4 hour interior the lamps or fan. while the lamp is going out, I positioned them interior the freezer in one day. an analogous batteries have lasted yet another 4 hours. i'm repeating this to work out what share cases i will recharge the batteries. The Fuji batteries say that they could explode if recharged. Or could they simply prefer you to maintain procuring batteries. The Duracell alkaline battery tells you to no longer fee, put in hearth or connect improperly or the battery could desire to explode. the cheap CVS alkaline battery additionally says do no longer set up backwards, fee or put in hearth or could explode. base line is a small a million.5 volt battery could be recharged a minimum of as quickly as by making use of putting in freezer. i does no longer positioned then in longer than in one day. I even have been making use of lamps for terribly very nearly a wee. They take 2 d batteries that final 4 hours. I even have 4 gadgets of batteries that I even have usernames then recharged. No issues yet. Dry the batteries earlier making use of. Act at your guy or woman danger.
Q: I have an old remote control air plane rechargeable battery I want to use for something else. The problem is I need it 9.6V and the two packs of 5 cells is 6V each. I want to combine the two 6V into an 8 cell 9.6V but I can't seem to split them apart. Currently I'm discharging them through the old airplane motor that they came with. First off, should I be messing with them. If so, is running them through a motor a good way to discharge them, and finally how should I go about separating them so I can recombine them?
Those 6V battery pack was packed with hard glue and welded joints. Separating them is not an easy task as you though without any proper tool. Besides, most old old rechargeable battery pack 50% inside the cells were dried out or leakage or shorted due to aging. Not much chance to rebuild them into a workable 9.6V pack.
Q: I want to know which battery packs will last longer before being recharged again. I don't want to know that it's better to buy the play and charge, because I already have a cable. so what mA/h will last longer the 2100 mAh, the 3600 or the 4100, or the 4800?
the controllers save the price for a lengthy time period. i do not use one as oftentimes as the different and it lasts for months. i take advantage of the controller for some hours a week and characteristic a play and value kit
Q: i wana make a portible outlet/battery packso i can use my corded drill outside (im to poor to buy a cordless one)
The only way that you can do this and not have it cost more than buying a cordless drill is to get a car battery cheap, maybe connect to the one in your car, and use an inverter to change the 12 volts from the battery to the 120 VAC for your drill. It's not real portable, but you can use an extension cord for thef AC just like you could if you were plugging into the wall. The problem is that a most batteries don't have a lot of capacity in them. Unless the drill is designed to run from a battery, you'll need a battery similar to a car battery to have enough capacity to run the drill for any length of time. Most drills have universal motors in them and can run off AC or DC. But you still need the 120 volts or very close to it to run the motor. This means putting enough batteries together to add up to 120 volts or converting a battery voltage to 120 volts. It'll cost about $40 for a 200 watt inverter. It'll cost more than that to buy enough batteries to add up to 120 volts. You should be able to buy a cordless drill with battery and charger for $40. It won't be the heavy duty, but it'll do for general home use. I had one I used for about 2 years untill I dropped it off a tower.
Q: I can buy a 3600mAH battery pack or a 2100mAh battery pack, which one holds a better charge?
Well im going to tell you but first i want you to understand what your asking, in long terms mAH stands for milliAmp Hours so using the 2100mAH one as an example you can have 2100 milli-amps for 1hour or any ratio of that like 210 milli-amps for 10hours thats what works out the charge ratio so the bigger the mAH the longer it will last because the controller only uses a set charge, sorry if that was confusing but in short terms the 3600mAH is bigger and better
Q: I have an e-bike using a 36 volt/9 amp battery pack.I want to up grade the compacity to 48 volt/9 amp battery pack. Can I use the same smart charger for the upgrade?
Usually there isn't reverse power protection with chargers because putting a diode between the charger and the batteries is the same as there not being a connection. That means if you put larger batteries in the charger it is like putting larger batteries in a portable radio or boom box. The charger might be able to handle it for awhile but I think the 12 volt difference would be too much.
Q: CameraSony a390. Out of the box. Should I start taking pictures immediately using its battery pack, or it should be charged first, and how long?
They tend to come with a partial charge, but personally I try to charge them overnight first. I think that is being overly cautious, but it is the way I can feel sure I won't cause any issues.
Q: I have a motorola handheld radio when i put the battery in the charger it will rapid charge for 1hr then go to trickle charge how long should i leave it in the charger i have been told 2hr after rapid is done and told 12hrs the packs cost a bit so can someone please help so i dont mess them up thanks
The issue with long charge times is heat. When you charge a battery, either using a fast charger or slow charge, the power going into it reverses the chemical action to the state it needs to be in to produce electricity again. When the battery is charged, the power going into the battery simply turns to heat. If the battery gets too hot it will vent to prevent it from exploding. This venting of gases means the battery can't work as well or it might not work at all. A slow charger usually charges a battery at 1/10 or less of it's rated capacity. This is low enough that the battery can be charged indefinitely without getting too hot. When a fast charger switches to the slow mode, it's at 1/10 or less of the capacity and this won't cause any heat problems.
