Q: Had a Bissell which was about $50, well it didn't last , and saw reviews on Eurekas, which were pretty good. Which do you use and where did you purchase your's for a good price? Not looking for expensive models, just something under $60.: Go to the thrift stores and garage sales. Then inspect them well before you buy. That is the only way to get a good one for that price. Dyson is about the best for under $500.

Q: Who vacums when its pitch black???: I, too, wonder at some of these things. Another one is why there is braille on the numbers at the bank drive through ATM. I do know that when the lightbulb is out on the vacuum, it is harder to see the dirt, even in daylight. I guess the lightbulb helps create shadows so you can see the dirt.

Q: I have acctually been asking this question for a number of years and have to admit that I am more interested in peoples reaction to the question than in a prosaic answer. However I wouldn't be oppossed to a definative answer from someone who builds the things. Just because I find it a silly place for a headlight doesn't mean theres not a valid reason for it being there.: I don't build them, but I know someone who repairs them. He always said it was for modern day witches who switched from the traditional broom to a high powered vacuum. seriously, the lights are just for dark corners and underneath couches and things.

Q: Hey people, please help me if you know anything about vacuum cleaners....I put a new bag in it, but it has no suction and its not spinning when I turn it over, could it be the belt or what?!?!: start with the belt since it's not spinning. if that doesn't fix it then look further. i've found that belts wear out fairly quickly on most vacuum cleaners these days. good luck.
