1. What is the delivery time after we paid the deposit?
—— Normally, we shall get all items ready for loading within 3 weeks after we get the deposit or the formal Letter of Credit. For orders which demand cutting job, it will take a longer time.

- Q: My husband ( yes...the one with the dents in his head from the cooker hood ) is fixing rustic tiles in my kitchen. He has done loads of tiling with plain tiles ( i.e straight edges!!) but we're wondering about spacing these with irregular edges. Very little advice on the web apart from to space them more widely which doesn't really help! Anyone done this and pleased with the result?
- Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ..you will either love them or not ..they don't suit everybody ...these rustic tiles as you know have misshapen edges ...but they are all the same shape!...so lay them out flat ...you will need nine ...and work out beforehand the way the tiles are to be laid ...if you do them all the same way you can work out the spacers ...but you must keep to the pattern ...when grouted no one will see there is a pattern
- Q: We‘re putting in new porcelain tile floors in the kitchen and bathroom. Should the tile go under the refrigerator? Should tiles go in before or after the new vanities in the bathroom? Any other general tips for a first-time tiler?
- Tile under the ice box.....tile after the vanities. Layout very carefully before you start, and think ahead. Start in the center of the rooms and make sure that there are no little pieces on the sides....best if they are even all around.
- Q: I am looking at replacing my kitchen floor, which currently has carpeting. (Bought the house like that.) And now I am looking to do either vinyl or tile. I understand tile is good for a lifetime, where as vinyl is good for 15-20 years for the heavier kind, but tile is double the cost. We plan on staying in our house a long time, if not forever, but in the case we would decide to sell, would tile or vinyl give us more value?
- I can only answer this according to resale in my area where I live. Tile will up the value of your home here. But...here, we have cold winters, and if you have tile, it had better be heated or the tile will be worthless as they get very cold underfoot. Personally, I like vinyl for the fact that it is warmer underfoot, and it can come in tons of colours/designs/thicknesses. It can be expensive too, so you will have to shop around. Vinyl will mark, but so will tile. Tile will last longer, but be sure it is installed properly. Tile is tougher overall, but you might want to change it after 15 years and it will be cheaper to change vinyl than it will be to change tile. If you choose vinyl, just do not choose the cheapest as it will have more of a tendancy to yellow and tear. Ensure your heavy appliances are on wheels so the vinyl will not tear when you move them for cleaning (done that one before).
- Q: I have a commercial pool thats about 100 years old ( with modern modifications). The ceramic tiles on the floor area are original. We have been begged by just about everyone not to replace them. It looks soo dirty. Our comepetition is more expensive.....water quality is horrible....and their pools are packed all day. Im lucky to get 5 people in an 18 hour day. The water and inside the pool look nice.....just getting to the pool...people think they will get a disease. Its just old age stain....not sure what that is exactly.
- I okorder /... Re-sealing the tiles is not a permanent solution. Another alternative is to find matching tiles, and remove a strip wide enough for a walkway, and re-tile with the new, modern tiles. Sometimes old meets new can look terrific.
- Q: How can I remove ceramic tiles from a bathroom wall without damage the wall itself, as I want to paint the wall. Would steam help loosen the glue used?
- You need to plan that replacing some drywall is inevitable. I've installed thousands of sq. ft. of tile, and unless your bathroom walls are plywood, or concrete backer board, the act of tile removal will tear at the drywall in the removal process. Tile mortar (Quickset) is designed to bond Usually forever, and in that bonding it isn't going to just fall off at a touch,,,unless the wall behind it is already degraded. One option is to remove by scraping,,,STEAM will not work, though might further damage drywall. After scraping, rough sand as smooth as possible, and install new drywall over old. Then finish. Rev. - Q: Am I able to Lay down Ceramic/Porcelain Tiles directly on top of vinyl tiles. If So are there special material that I need to use.Even though the floor is in the basement, it seems that the vinyl is laid over wood, rather than concerete.Thanks for your answer.
- Hi Well I am afraid that the answer is no you cannot, even if you use a screeding mix, the Thermoplatic/Vinyl nees to be removed, this is because Ceramic does not creep with differant heats like Vinyl, in other words they expand at differant paces, you would just end up with cracked up tile joints at the least. And self leveling compound would go the same way unless laid on a similar,(concrete etc) If you want to remove them try using a shovel makes thing easier, also IF you are careful, you can also soften the tile advhesive with a blow gun, BUT you must be very very careful Paul H
- Q: I want to lay tile in my mobile home, and I want a cheaper alternative to wonderboard for the tile that I want to install. My home is on a concrete foundation tied down and the flooring is solid I‘m just concerned with the tile not sticking to the osb plywood. Any serious answers would be appreciated
- Tile will stick to plywood just fine. People use wonderboard for a couple of reasons. First, if the surface can get wet (like a bathroom floor or a shower wall), the wonderboard will not get damaged by water that might seep between cracks in the grout. Second, wonderboard is less flexible than wood for a given thickness. For a wood subfloor, any flexing can lead to cracking of the grout and/or the tiles. If the wood is thick enough (1/2 to 3/4 inches) and firmly secured to the subfloor with lots of screws, it shouldn't flex to the point where the tile or grout is damaged. If it does crack later on, you can always regrout the damaged areas.
- Q: I accidently kicked in one of the tiles near the knobs on the bottom front of the shower. the tile is caved in and loose so i took it out and noticed the blue board behind it. There is a blue board and 6 tiles on the board. the blue board is easily pushed back and has little support. the 6 tiles are loose too and if i press the tile, it will go back a little. I think the blue board provided little support for the tiles and the tile cave in would of happened eventually anyway. either that or it was completely my fault because i caved in one of the tiles which made all of the other tiles loose?? I think the blueboard had little support and it wasn‘t completely my fault. should i fight my landlord on this?i just met with her and sat through a lecture with her accusing me of everything, from having parties trashing the apartment to the slightly black grout near the tub so im kind of worked up over this.
- If you hadn't kicked it then it would still be as it was you have no excuse you have to curb your temper you have to respect other peoples property
