Q:At my work place there are several parking lots, and on the side I park on there is a pink fire hydrant on the grass directly in front of a parking space. Now I find it odd because it's directly in the middle of the lot, and the parking space (with the yellow lines) are right in front of the hydrant, but there's no indication on the pavement that says you can't park there.From what I know it is illegal to park in front of a fire hydrant, but I see people parking there all the time, including myself. I guess I don't understand why there is even a parking space there, if legally you shouldn't park there. Any theories?

Q:When the shower is on, water leaks where a PVC fitting (I'm not sure if this is the proper term. It is a connector that is glued onto the supply line on one end, and has a threaded nut on the other end where the metal pipe to the shower head is connected.) is attached to the supply line. It isn't in the end that is threaded (where the pipe that attaches to the shower head goes). It is in the end that is glued to the supply line.I can pull this fitting/coupling out from behind the wall enough to be able to see/feel the water leak, but not far enough to cut the pipe. Is there any product I can apply to the leaky joint to seal the leakor do I have to have the plumber cut a chunk out of the plaster wall to be able to access the supply line and related problems.Thanks very much to anyone who answers.Joan
