Q:I need a chair or something other in my bedroom to read in.. I've been reading in my bed recently but after reading for 8 hours a day it gives me SERIOUS back problems.
I read in a butterfly chair. It's extremely comfortable, and perfect to read in. It also works to read in one with a foot stool. And you can put your book on one of the side 'wings'.
Q:Where can I find a chair like this?(link below) What kind is it, like what is it called?
Big okorder I think? Hope this is not a scam because the address and phone number is quite simple..
Q:I found a very cool shaped very old chair at a junk shop for $5. It is in fairly good shape and sturdy (none of the arms or legs wiggle). But it is missing the seat, which I would imagine was one time a woven cane seat that has fell out. I would prefer not to re-cane a new seat (I have done this before, but I don't find it comfortable to sit on this type of seat and they don't wear well). I would much rather put in a padded upholstered seat, but am not sure how? There is just a large hole in the middle where the seat used to be, and I'm having trouble thinking of ways to attach a piece of wood with padding and upholstery. It doesn't have to be super sturdy, as it won't have more than a 170lb person in it, and will more than likely not be used daily (it will be for our bedroom). Any ideas?Chair similar to this one (no seat)- http://krypton.mnsu.edu/~wayne/Caning/roundchair.JPG
Get a piece of 1/4 or 3/8 plywood at a building center (places like Home Depot usually have small cuts, like 24 x 24 which is all you need.) Use a piece of large paper or cardboard to trace the outline of the seat on the chair , all the way to the outside edge. Using the pattern, then cut the wood in that shape. At the fabric store buy a piece of 1 or 1 1/2 thick foam rubber (back in the drapery department) and cut that to fit on top of the wood. Then add about a 1 thick layer on top of polyester quilt batting (from the fabric store) on top of that. Cut a piece of the seat fabric you want to use about 4 bigger on all sides (so 8 each direction) than the wood seat. Lay the fabric out on a table, flip your wood with the padding over so the padding is on the bottom, against the fabric. Fold and stretch the excess fabric over the wood and use a staple gun to attach it snugly along all 4 sides. Make small folds at the corners to keep it smooth (like tucking in the sheets on a bed). if you're satisfied with how the seat now looks, pick up the chair, turn it upside down and center the it over the wooden back of the padded seat you just made. Use four wood screws just 1/4 longer than the thickness of the chair seat frame and drill through the chair (the frame that would have supported to caning) into the seat wood backing. If the wood is soft enough and the screws are thin you can just use a screw gun but it would be better to pre-drill a small pilot hole first - just make sure you don't go through the padding and fabric. I've done it many times -- in fact just last week did that with two antique chairs from my parents' estate that had blown out caning.
Q:where can i get good deals on office chairs?
There are often great sales at Office Depot, Office Max and Staples. Look on eBay as well. Finally, check to see if you have a used office furniture store in your region. You might get a chair for $50 or $75 for which someone once paid hundred$.
Q:Im trying to lower my office chair but it is different then my last one. My last one had some lever that you just puch and your weight will lower it like hydralics, but this chair is different it dont have that lever the only thing it has is some type of knob that turn at the bottom. I tried that and nothing happens does anyone know how to lower these types of chairs?
I think someone in the office may have a better idea. Are you paid to surf Yahoo Answers?
Q:my 4 year old is in a high chair and will not dit any where else to eat her food!!what to do?
Have you tried to get a booster chair instead. It's a small chair that attaches to a regular table chair. Make it a big kid game.....your child might go for it.... Good luck!
Q:I need to replace the speakers on my son’s Video Rocker Gaming chair which are damaged. Can I use car speakers as replacements? The specs on the speakers removed are 5 inches in diameter, 4 ohms and 8 watts.
Dont see why not
Q:I told her to wait until I read the reviews. If not this chair, do you kids have their own chair to sit in? Where did you get it and how much did it cost you?
We dont have those, whenever i have seen them they look cheaply made in person, which is crazy at $45 a pop. Belle has a few types of chairs, A wooden table and chairs set, hand painted winnie the pooh, then a few plastic lawn chairs, a soft stuffed football chair, only $20 at walgreens and great quality, then a wooden rocker from Cracker Barrel. Her cousins have these cute leather chairs from Target I think, very nice and we can even sit in them too, i think they were about $40 to $50 a peice.
Q:my chair is going fat (i am sittoing on 2 pillows right now since they are also going flat, but it is annoying to keep moving them back as they slip)
Fat or flat? Look for Upholster in the Yellow pages and ask them
Q:Hi,I am looking for a good high chair to buy for my 7 month old. any recommendations ?Thanks!
We have the Fisher-Price Healthy Care high chair, and absolutely love it! We got it when our baby was 6 months old. It is very easy to clean, and has height and recline adjustments. It also comes with a great toy that fits into the tray. This is great to amuse the baby while you are preparing his/her food.
