Q: i left my flat iron on the carpet and the carpet has two small red lines from the plates. how can i i rid of the i put oxiclean on i dont think its working though.: It's not a stain so the oxy clean may not work at all. My proven technique that allowed me to keep all my security deposit on my apartment... Cut as much of the burn away as you can. Go right down to the mesh that holds the strands of carpet in place if you have to. Now take a razor (the type you shave with) And shave some rug particles from another area of the carpet. Shave enough to fill the size of the hole you'll have after removing all the burned sections. Now take some carpet glue or super glue and brush a little in the hole. Fill the hole with the shavings. You wont be able to make the mark completely disappear but The color match will be perfect. If you work with some cuttings rather than shavings you may be able to get it to look real close to the original texture of the carpet. The entire process should take no more than 5-15 minutes. Do a little area at first until you feel comfortable with the process.

He is generally a 60 rug but can fit into a 59! He is also a cob! If you are going to have a couple of rugs, id have the bottom one or 2 as a 59 and the top ones as 60. Also i rekon he would be a cob. But i dont think there is much difference in a 5'9and a 6'0, so if you thought he may fill out or get rounder once you get him than you may be better just going with 6'0!

Q: burgandy nail varnish on a cream carpet, help??: To remove nail polish from carpets, nail polish remover will work but you need to USE CAUTION because it can also remove dye from your carpet or upholstery. Also you can try bleach but only if you have a white carpet. On light colored carpet it might not be noticeable but on darker colors. TEST FIRST! Otherwise, a little nail polish will be the least of your worries. How about having to replace a whole roomful of carpet or trying to match the carpet color to dye one patch? For carpet, always test any kind of chemical stain remover/cleaner in an out of the way place like a corner. Under a cushion might be a good spot for upholstery.

Q: We have carpet in our kitchen, that's right CARPET! We want the carpet out and purchased some vinyl flooring to replace it. However we just found out that the carpet is GLUED down and therefore a much bigger project to remove it than we once thought. So, we were wondering if the vinyl can be installed on top of the carpet. Like I said the carpet is glued down and it is very low and smooth there is very little give to it when you walk on it.: No, vinyl will stretch in the traffic area and or crack. In a short time there will be pockets or puffed up parts. remove the carpet and install lauan plywood properly nailed. Over this you need a sealer mastic for cracks and such. The vinyl will last a life time with out cracks and such. Tough pulling up the carpet, it should be pretty good under this. There are some chemicals to help with the glue. After the floor could be covered with the fake wood tiles. It uses a floating foam cover to help with any problems below. Cost less than vinyl and prep.
