- Q:I have been to accident, hit the side of my car. i took it to a shop get repaired, when i picked up i had an ABS light on. since i had a differential issues as well that the insurande did not want to cover, i bought the differential and installed myself. After the work i realised that my car was not working properly, took it to a dealership they told me that my ABs sensor was bad and my transmission went out. took the car to a transmission place and get ot rebuild, after it get rebuild the car won t drive pass 40 MPH( same thing it was doinf before). They troubleshot for days and realised that the cars drives great when it s on the lift, it tooks all the gears but when as soon as they drop it down and drives it. it does the same thing and not going pass 1th and sec gears.( 40 mph). can somebody please help me and tell me what they think i already spent over 3000$ on the car. by the way the car is a dodge charger 2007.thanks please give me some ideas
- Have someone scan the vehicles computers to pinpoint whats going on instead of wasting money!!!
- Q:Assume the effective coefficient of friction retarding the car is 0.22.(i solved the problem multiple times and got 1.5*10^6 J, but that is not the correct answer. I want to know what I did wrong) Thank you.
- Q:to feed, burp, change, etc also taking her in car seat to the doctor appointment i live on a upstairs apartment so i have no choice but to use stairs. i just posted the other Q about taking her on a walk and everyone is saying tkae it easy. am i doing to much now? I have no choice though. I live alone and her dad isnt in the picture ? so is it ok? she weighs 9 pounds. i just have to lift her and she gets fussy so i have to hold her and carry her around, but the heaviest part is carrying her up and down the stiars in the car seat, but i have no choice becuase she has jaundice and we have to go get her blood drawn at the doctors. is this going to rip open my incision? sorry if it sounds like the last Q but its not, the last Q made me think of this Q , thanks :)
- I am a single mother of twins. I also have a c-section. I has no choice I had to lift bend and walk up stairs. Because I was doing to much my c-section did start to bleed. But other then that I was fine. I would do the best you can trying to relax. I know how hard that is to do. I would wait to go for walks with her. Get yourself better first. Just think if your incisions rips then you will have to go back and get it fixed. That will cause you more pain and frustration. Your child needs you to be healthy! Try and get friends and family to come over and help with somethings.
- Q:Why do we use piston in a hydraulic car lift ?can we use something else instead?
- It is the simplest and most effective solution. It gives a powerful, directed force. You could use a membrane or a bag that you pump full of water. These are often used in the open where a portable lift is needed, say at accidents, but are not as stable or as powerful as a hydraulic piston and barrel, because they cannot take the same level of pressure.
- Q:I took my car to the mechanic to get the radiator flushed and I just put 20‘ rims on my dodge intrepid when he lift the car up high my wheels where like kinda hanging. Is that bad? I asked him and he said no that the springs support the weight of the wheels. I don‘t know man it didn‘t look right to me but then again im not an expert on cars. So what do you think is he right?
- Doesn't matter what size the rims are. The lift will not hurt it.
- Q:A 15,000-N car on a hydraulic lift rests on cylinder with a piston of radius 0.20 m. If an oil compressor drives a connecting cylinder with a piston radius of 0.040 m, what minimum force must be applied to the smaller piston to lift the car?a) 600 Nb) 1,500 Nc) 3,000 Nd) 15,000 Ne) 30,000 NPlease write me ur complete solution and not just the final answer. Also please answer me seriously.
- Q:ok, this is a question my science teacher asked me and I really don‘t get it. I did some math to find out the mechanical advantage, and it was 20N, which then meant to me using a pulley system with 20 ropes, but how can I find out how many pulleys? Does anyone know how to solve this? and if you can, can you also explain it? thanks! NOTE: N newtons
- If you use one pulley to lift something it will cut the force needed in half, so if you divide 10000 by 2 you will get 5000. So it would take 5000N to lift the car with one pulley. If you divide 10000 by 2 five times you will get 312.5, so it takes 5 pulleys. But if one pulley has the rope on top the next one has to have one that has the rope on the bottom for the other to have one on top except for the last one because it does not need a pulley with the rope on the bottom. So it takes 9 pulleys. I hope that helped (it was probably a little hard to follow.)
- Q:I want a huge truck, but it might be cheaper lifting my yaris and adding huge tires. Can this be done?
- Anythings possible but in all honesty like Pete said , it would just look stupid
- Q:i mean there gonna do it inside the shop but im getting my car lifted so its like 33f out here and i was wondering once i drive outta the shop will the cold effect the springs or shocks at all?
- At those temps, no you won't be able to tell at all. Your shocks get stiffer due to increased fluid viscosity at REALLY cold temps, like --25 or lower, but they don't lock up or anything. I've noticed my Explorer rides pretty rough when it gets down to -30 or below, but the tires harden up too at those temps.
- Q:Like a world‘s strongest car flip Medley. How much force is needed to lift in between the front and rear tire of one side of the car to actually lift the car high enough until it reaches a full 90 degree angle and flips over? The car weighs 2,400lbs, and it‘s a Toyota Corolla, 2002.Does any body know the answer? Convert it to kilograms or pounds, please.
- if you go with a higher end CAI, you will get some power and noise at high rpm. The hp change is hardly noticeable, around 10hp.
