Q:I have an 03' Toyota Corolla FWD. I had it on a lift to check it out. I turned it on and put it in drive. only the RF wheel spins normal, but the LF wheel only spins when given enough gas. Is this normal or is it a problem?: it is completely normal, FWD cars dont have a locked differential in the front. that means that only one wheel will be powered when the car is driven. the same goes for RWD cars that dont have a limited slip differential or a posi rear-end.

And honestly he may not have taken money to let you go, he was suppose to impound and make you get it out of impound and pay the fine and the tow. Most likely he pocketed the 100 dollars and reported you were already gone, but that is just my guess,
