Wood-Plastic Composite (WPC) floor accessory is manufactured from a combination of plastic, natural fiber and some additives using special equipments. It mixes natural fiber and plastic perfectly to keep the natural impression of wood but with rich colors of plastic. - National standards: 8 mm thick and 12 thick, and now are generally 12 thick.
- Q: The floor is buckling up in one spot even though the floor is brand new. I believe the pieces may not be staggared enough to give it the strength to keep it from buckling up. I believe I can re-use alot of the pieces. I think I may have to pull up the floor and reinstall. any other suggestions?
- check the spacing from the flooring to the wall. It sounds there might not be the required 1/4 inch. That is a common problem with laminate floors especially as the summer heat begins to expand the floor. Pull the floor molding in the area it is buckling and see if the flooring is pressed tightly against the wall. If they are, you may need to pull the last pieces and cut them thinner or shorter, then reinstall them. This is not an uncommon issue with a floor that has been installed in the cold without sufficient clearance and now is expanding to the heat of the summer or just the heat of a heated room.

- very long answer required.....heres the short on: dur-rock sub floor, seal the joints of the sub floor, use thin set for the setting of the floor: once sub floor installed find center of ur room both ways and pop a caulk line... will keep the wall cuts the same....... trowel in ur thin set with 1/4 notch trowel working from ur + line( from the center out) only apply enough thin set for 2 or 3 tile until u get the hang of it......use 1/4 inch or 1/8 inch spacers from lowes between each tile.....set the tile in the thin set and give a small push and twist, and then line up where u like it....... lic. gen. contractor

- ebeth, It really depends on the grain of the wood floor. If it is oak or another wood that has a tight grain it is much easier . . . . or the new laminate flooring. If it is pine it could be harder and take more patient work. To try the easy methods, scrape up big blobs with a hard plastic scraper found in the cleaning the dishes aisle.. . .or an old credit card, or even a fingernail. For that last little bit, use a steel wool scrub pad, like SOS. Be gentle though. If you put too much muscle into it, you can scrub off the finish. If you don't have an SOS pad, try one of those bath scrubbies made of nylon. . . .or try something made for gentle exfoliation in the shower. The trick is to get the paint without getting the finish. Freshest paint is the easiest. Old paint takes more work. You can also try heating up the paint with a hair dryer before scraping it off. Do NOT use one of those paint removing heat guns. More isn't always better. You will end up marring the finish.

- I've lived in two apartments that were downstairs and never had any problems. I lived in nice neighborhoods. Now I live in a house and I've never felt unsafe either. It's really up to you to check out the apartment complex first. Drive around it at night and see what it's like. Check with the police for crime reports in that neighborhood.

- u don't need any plywood because u can laid the vinyl over concrete leveler is only as the name said ,to level the floor en case of ,of course ,un-level floor good luck my friend
