Q: My husband has really long, really strong hair. We've killed quite a few vacuum cleaners with his hair (the hair wraps around the spinny thing and inevitably breaks the motor). Because of this, I'm assuming I can't get that kind of vacuum cleaner: stand up vacuum with the spinning brush. What type and/or brand of vacuum should I get?: What ever brand you purchase, take a little responsibility, trim the hair from the roller brush on occasion, with a scissors, and yank it out.

Q: Ok so our Dyson hoover has finally given up. We want a new hoover that isn't as heavy as a Dyson. We tried the smaller Dyson's today but they aren't powerful enough because we have 2 pets you see. So we tested the HOOVER DM6228 and that seemed ok. Any reviews or any recommendations of vacuum cleaners? I live in Britain by the way.: My wife LOVES vacuums (we've owned a lot!). The best by far has been the Oreck. Lightweight and it cleans well. Our Dyson crapped out after only a year and my wife never liked it anyway (too heavy)

Q: Ok i bought a decent hoover just before christmas and it has blown up the thing is last year i had 3 new vacumn hoovers whats wrong with me? What do i do wrong? I have to hoover 3 times a day due to have 3small children under 6 but its never bashed around i really am fed up. Anybody have any suggestions?: the only thing that would cause them to blow-that easily would be completely blocked vents, that prevent the machine from running too hot and frying itself...so I suggest cleaning your filters and emptying the bag more.Also another thing that commonly breaks vaccuums is running over the cord with the machine

Had it the next day in CT at $949 flat. Definitely would recommend Miele though. Germans always make the best

Q: My wife and I are looking into getting a new vacuum cleaner. My sister has a Dyson, and she is just in love with it. We know that there is a Dyson out there specifically made for pets (we have a black lab), which is what we are leaning towards. However, we have also heard that there have been a number of Dysons that have been returned due to problems with them. We've also heard that there is a brand of vacuum out there that is supposed to be almost exactly like the Dyson but with limited issues.Does anyone out thereknow of what this other brand is, and what are your experiences with either (Dyson or this other brand)? Good/bad?: It depends on whether you really want a bagless Upright, a bagged upright or bagged canister. Dyson is the best bagless Upright. Sebo is the best Upright. Miele is the best vacuum cleaner period. Although it is a canister and if you not like canisters you may want to look at the Sebo. The Miele Callisto has an awesome SEB 217 Powerhead. It has the best edge cleaning ever. If you use this vacuum to pick up bird seed on a carpeted floor along the edges of your wall it will pick up ever piece guarantee it. You can use the powerhead on the bare floor which does a wonderful job. It has a squeegee underneath to really seal to the ground as well as all rubber wheels that will not scratch your floors. But if you want to use an even nicer tool it comes with an SBB 300-3 Floorbrush which is amazing. It has super wide holes all around and it will pick every up as well. it barely feels like you are pushing anything and it has a knuckle which allows you to twist and turn into and spot you want like behind the toilets, buffet table, couches and the floorbrush itself is low enough to get under the baseboards and kickjams. The filtration is 99.95% effective at 0.3 microns which is amazing. Thanks to its HEPA filter and super intensive clean bags the vacuum is able to achieve this kind of filtration. This a much better cleaner machine. Of course I enjoy using a canister. I bought my Miele Callisto from Mr. Vac and Mrs. Sew for only $699 with free shipping and no tax (because I do not live in new york). They were wonderful to deal with and they made my shopping experience a pleasant one.
