1. Manual Wafer Butterfly Valve Description:
A butterfly valve is a valve which can be used for isolating or regulating flow. The closing mechanism takes the form of a disk. Operation is similar to that of a ball valve, which allows for quick shut off. Butterfly valves are generally favored because they are lower in cost to other valve designs as well as being lighter in weight, meaning less support is required.

2.Main Features of the Manual Wafer Butterfly Valve
a)Cast hole. Flange connection meet ANSI 125/150#   DIN PN10/16   BS4504 PN10/16 in the meanwhile.
b)Soft seat. Replaceable. Increase of service life.
c)Double half shaft without pin.
d) Square and short neck. Easy to stick scutcheon and cost saving.

5.FAQ
1. What is manual wafer butterfly valve?
A: Wafer style is the more common of the two and is less expensive than the lug style. The wafer style butterfly valve is just about the standard. It ís so common that no one even bothers to use the word "wafer" when ordering a butterfly valve. It is taken for granted that if a butterfly valve is ordered, a wafer style will be received.
2. How about the Installation of the Wafer Style Butterfly Valve?
A: Butterfly valves are installed by inserting the valve between two flanges using bolts or studs and nuts to hold it all together. This type of installation, of course, makes it impossible to disconnect just one side of the piping system from the valve. That benefit is received using the lug style valve.

Q: What do D71, D371 and D341 represent in butterfly valves?
D71 is a handle to clip butterfly valveD371 is a turbine to clip butterfly valveD341 is a manually operated double flanged butterfly valve
Q: Butterfly valve general use occasions
Valve is especially suitable for low differential pressure, large diameter, large flow of gas and slurry liquid. For general control valve, DN300mm is big valve, only individual to DN450, and for the butterfly valve, DN500 below is a small valve, DN500 ~ 1000 is the standard valve, the largest butterfly caliber up to 9m. Visible, large diameter pipe with the main butterfly valve.
Q: What does the butterfly valve D361H - 25C DN350 mean?
Corrigendum: correct type: D361H-25 DN350Should not have C, nominal pressure above 1.6MP carbon steel valve material code name should be omittedValve: central vertical plate welded turbine butterfly valve, nominal pressure 25kg, caliber 350mm, body material, carbon steel, sealing surface material: Cr13 stainless steel
Q: How to use the fire butterfly valve properly?
Clamp and groove type and signal butterfly valve, the first two have what requirements of installation, the operating handle can rotate to open and close the valve installation, signal wiring, mouth down, to prevent water and caused a short circuit three line grounding and alarm line for leakage protection and monitoring of the valve open or closed, general are in line with the alarm valve or flow indicator matched with water, indicating the spacing of not less than 300mm, no other special requirements
Q: Should I connect the butterfly valve before and after the pump? Or gate valve?
The best pump outlet valve, because the valve opening control accuracy, no movement. Valve structure is strong, adjusting performance better than butterfly valve. The pump outlet needs constant switching and adjustment, so the pump outlet valve is suitable for gate valve.Life water system valve, it is best to choose the gate valve, strong and reliable, cut off the system to grasp. But the cost is higher, occupying more space.Choose 1 or 1.6, there is no principle requirements, because the water supply pressure of life is generally between 0.25-0.5MPA, can meet the requirements. Only 1.6 is more durable and stronger, but the price is higher.
Q: Is the pressure test of the centerline butterfly valve checked or checked?
The pressure test of the central butterfly valve is carried out at each station.Basis:1) GB/T12238-2008 flange and clamp connection elastic seal butterfly valveRules: butterfly valve must be carried out by factory inspection and testing, inspection qualified before leaving the factory.2) CJ/T 261-2007, butterfly valves for water supply and drainageRules: each product shall be inspected by factory and quality inspection department. After inspection, the product certificate shall be attached to the factory.Butterfly: also known as butterfly valve, control valve has a simple structure, can be used for low pressure pipeline valve switching control is closed parts (disc or disc) is a disk, around the valve axis to achieve the opening and closing a valve, the valve can be used to control air, water, steam, all kinds of corrosive media, mud, oil, metals and radioactive liquid media and other types of fluid flow. On the pipeline, mainly from cutting and throttling. Butterfly valve headstock is a disc shaped disc, in the valve body around its own axis of rotation, so as to achieve the purpose of opening or closing or regulation.
Q: Butterfly valve switch direction respectively?
First, if the butterfly valve has been installed on the pipe, you can first see the mark on the handwheel. Second, there is a switch indicator on the general worm gear.
Q: I was wondering if someone could tell me the manufacturing date on this aircraft engine valve.
Wow Hannah! That's a cool find for sure! It appears to be possibly a valve for a radial aircraft engine as it looks very similar to ones i've seen used in Pratt+Whitney R3350's etc. It looks like it could probably date to the 1940's up thru the 1950's. Look for a Part Number stamped on the valve or on the box. After WW2 there were all kinds of manufacturers making parts for airplanes. Many were gobbled up by competitors, converted to manufacturing other products or went out of business altogether. However, a few did hang on....and I think this may be what has become of Thompson Aircraft today.... Thompson Aerospace, Inc 22431 Antonio Parkway B160-102 Rcho Sta Marg, CA 92688-2804
Q: Whenever sports cars are referred, people talk in terms of 'valves'. ex: v8, v12 etc. What does this all mean? Also they sometimes say that a v8 makes a great noise. why? How does the number of valves effects the performance? Many thanks.
When talking about car engines, references such as v4, v6, v8, v10 and v12 are not for the number of valves. it is for the number of cylinders. The more cylinders that an engine has, the more fuel it consumes and most of the time, the more horsepower it can make. There are exceptions to this though. Regarding the noise of the engine, i would agree that a v8 sounds very good when it is roaring. Valves are actually the openings for fuel to get into the cylinders and the exhaust to come out from. Most modern engines have two valves for incoming fuel and two valves for the exhaust making a total of four valves per cylinder. hope that clears it for you
Q: what are the step i need to do so i can change the valve seals my truck has been smoky.,,, any websites i want todo it myself... 1989 chevy silverado 2500 350 engine 5.7L
