Q:I want to install a Bazooka Powered Sub (EL84-HP) to my car. I currently have a Pioneer 4-channel 600-watt amp that has a direct power line from the battery. However, I do not want to run another power line from my battery to my Bazooka sub, which has it's own built-in 100-watt sub. Would it be OK to connect the power cable only from my Pioneer amp to my Bazooka sub?

It's not necessarily the best way to do it, but it will certainly work, provided that the power wire running to the Pioneer amp is thick enough to adequately supply both amplifiers. Usually a 100-watt Bazooka tube doesn't require all that much current. Don't daisy-chain the ground wire, though; ground the Bazooka amp separately.

The simplest is to use a multimeter to find the power switch on the motherboard, to extend it to the desktop. Q:Hi. I just purchased a hp slimline S3420F used from OKorder. (dumb move, I know) Anyway it worked for a few days and now it won't turn on. The power supply light on the back is one but the computer won't come on. I was looking in the trouble shooting guide and one thing that is suggested is to reseat the hard disk data and power cables. It says for instructions to refer to a manual that I can't get because it's on my computer. I am on a public computer now and can't upload the manual to this computer. I switched the voltage to 230 and back to 115 real quick and that worked once. Probably just a coincidence. Now it just won't boot at all. LIke I said, the green power supply light on the back of the computer is on. I can read replies from my cell phone so perhaps someone can give me some ides what to do. I'm sure the answer lies in taking it to a repair shop. :(

Re-seating is nothing more than unplugging a connection, then plugging it back in. Your real problem sound related to the 230/115 switch, if not the power supply itself.

Power cables for optical and hard drives are provided by the PSU. Just ensure that when you pick your PSU that it has the correct SATA drive power ends that will meet your needs.

Q:so I bought a new power supply to go with my new case and motherboard, and when I recived the new power supply it didn't have a power cable That Plugs into the wall, can I use the one from my old power supply or will I have to get a new one? every power supply I've gotten for years uses completely standard, detachable power cords. I've never yet seen one that will not use the same cords as all the others. Use the one from the old supply

hi renaldo you have two options .... either use a 6pin connector from your existing power supply,or use the molex (2) to 6pin adapter that comes with the radeon HD7770 however theres other factors to consider and these include : 1) wattage : the HD7770 requires a minimum of 450w ... but this is based on a decent well known brand of psu .... less expensive budget or generic psu,s and you should be looking at 500w or even 550w 2) +12v rails : these are the part of the psu that delivers the power to your HD7770,and each card requires a set amount of amps on the +12v rail(s) ...

Q:I'm thinking of the power cables that connect houses to the national grid in the UK. Not only do they appear to be the green colour of copper in full sunlight, but this colour isn't evenly spread. In places there is still black. What causes this, as it's presumably not exposed copper or the colour would always be apparent?

This could simply be moss / lichen or fungus growing. the north side of the cable will have more moss on it than the south side. As the sun is over the equator and England is in the Northern Hemisphere so the sun lights the south side of the cable, and the moss grows on the darker side. This is a classic way of telling directions in a forest or paddock. Garret

you may get them from Dell quite exspensive ?50 plus, or you may get considered one of OKorder for around ?18.00 My daughter had a similar concern together with her capability unit. Dont choose for the cheap one for around ?4.00 ineffective
