Q:I just installed a iac valve on my 2001 blazer but didnt go through the reset steps. Do i have to unistall and do the steps or go from here with the reset. Truck stalls out now and surges... Or could i just hava a defective part.

It depends on whether you have a presta or schraeder valve. If a schraeder valve, you can buy a bag of them with a remover from an auto parts store for about $3.00 or so. If a presta valve, most of those cannot be replaced so it is new tube time. Are you sure it is a valve? Many times a puncture in the tube will leak through the valve hole AROUND the valve making it seem like a valve.

Take the inside valve out of the tire stem and either straighten the valve where it's bent or buy a new valve.If your valve stem cap has the raised tool to remove the valve with you won't need to buy a valve stem tool.

Q:I have a yamaha cornet and i took the valves out to oil them. i put the valves in, and now only the middle on makes a sound. when i put down no valves, and doesn't make a sound, only when i press down valve two. i think it is the way i put the valves because it has those holes. can some one let me know what is the right way to put the valves in, like explain or show me a video. thanks.
Every trumpet I've used has numbers on the valves. These should be facing you when inserting the valves, valve 1 being closest to you, and valve 3 being closest to the bell.
Q:My car (RWD) has vacuum leak and has the code PO171/PO174. I find some engine oil at the bolt well of the valve cover on the bank 2 side. Can the vacuum leak come from the valve cover? What is the main function of the valve cover? Thanks.
Valves and the cam or rocker arm assemblies on top of the cylinder heads are lubricated by engine oil that is pumped or splashes up from the crankcase. Valve covers just contain the oil and keep dirt out of the engine. Vacuum comes from the intake manifold, and is routed to various locations through small flexible rubber hoses. A vacuum leak is probably from one of those small rubber hoses that has cracked or come loose.

Q:How do you remove a richdel sprinkler valve, when I turn the body of it, it doesn't unscrew, it just turns in place.
is it the valve your trying to remove, or the sprinkler head? if its the valve, there will be two pipes, one in and one out, just unwind the thread at end end of the valve, If its the sprinkler itself, then there should be a pipe under the sprinkler(swing joint) just grab the whole body and unscrew ( make sure you grab the whole sprinkler and not just the top, you may have to dig around it
Q:2004 R6. Runs really well... never had a problem. Has 24K miles on it. Yamaha calls for them to get readjusted at the 26,600 mile mark. So I have a few thousand more and then I'm gunna have them adjusted.I can already hear them tick especially at idle because when riding, my exhaust is so loud and all you can hear is that and the wind. Anyway, this time will come up before I know it.Just curious... what happens if the valves remain loose? Will it affect performance? How do you they become loose and is it ok to ride a bike with them like that... atleast until the specific mileage when they are supposed to be adjustd?
could cause excessive crank case pressure if the duration is way off, i know from experience. Short valve duration=blow by because exhaust gasses have less time to escape the cylinder. Could potentially cause leaks due to blow by gasses
