Q: i need info about that and also about somethings that can reduce the emissions of CO2 in the atmosphere?? if you tell me the page you will rock=D
cement is neither good nor bad in the environment making it gives off C02, using it takes the C02 Back CaCo3 + heat= CaO + C02 (cement) CaO + H20 + C02 = CaC03 (concrete) Planting lots of trees takes C02 out of the atmosphere
Q: Is it gypsum ?
gypsum is a construction mineral, it is what makes up wall board which is used in most homes and offices buildings. but it is not a part of cement. portland cement is made from Limestone and Clay minerals. Those are heated together to make a cllinker that is further refined to make the product that goes into bags of cement.
Q: what is the definition of cement?
previous posters are correct. it can also mean to reaffirm or strengthen something. something can cement your relationship for instance. This is often related to specific events. Getting lost in jungle together really cemented our relationship.
Q: whats the difference between cement and concrete?
Cement is a binder, a substance which sets and hardens independently, and can bind other materials together. These are materials which set and harden after combining with water, as a result of chemical reactions with the mixing water and, after hardening, retain strength and stability even under water.Portland cement, which is made primarily from limestone, certain clay minerals, and gypsum, in a high temperature process is commonly used in modern construction. Concrete consists of Portland cement, construction aggregate (generally gravel and sand) and water. It does not solidify from drying after mixing and placement; the water reacts with the cement in a chemical process known as hydration. This water is absorbed by cement, which hardens, gluing the other components together and eventually creating a stone-like material. When used in the generic sense, this is the material referred to by the term concrete.
Q: How does the cement produce! What matter! Why did she get angry?
The production process of cement, limestone and clay as the main raw material, the broken, ingredients, grinding made of raw materials, feed into the cement kiln calcined mature material, add the appropriate amount of gypsum (sometimes mixed with mixed materials or admixture) Come into being
Q: So I am doing a little project outside. I need to connect a pvc pipe to a rubber hose. water will be flowing between these two. I am going to use some sort of sealent along with a clamp thingy but wondering what type of sealent should i use. Is there a particular one should i use?
you can use sealant if you want, but a hose clamp will work fine by itself. i've done this many times and the connection doesn't come apart or leak.
Q: I'm building a bike stand out of PVC pipe and I'm using CPVC cement... I've heard that you can use CPVC cement on both CPVC and PVC (since CPVC is harder to melt), but not PVC cement on CPVC pipe.Ideas?
Go for it I have used either or both on the other to repair sprinkler systems just what ever I grab and I have never went back on a job
Q: what is the difference between refractory cement and furnace cement?
Furnace cement is a finer grit meant for patching up seams to make them air tight. Refractory cement is for the cast concrete structures themselves.
Q: Are they like the same...different? Idk
Cement is the gray powdery stuff that comes from a natural stonish product called 'klinker'. It is just ONE element to the concrete. To make simple cement stronger, you go for concrete: add sand, gravel and in the best of cases, rebars (iron rods) - that way the strength of both major elements are combined: 1- Concrete by itself is super-strong for compression, but cracks when pulled or bent (inflexible). 2- Iron/Steel is extremely tough to pulling forces and to some extent flexible. Combine the two and you got the stuff many skyscrapers are of.
Q: This crack has caused a layer of cement wall, about 1/2 inch thick, to fall off. The area of the layer that has come off is about 1ft by 1ft. Do I need to add cement to the wall to fix it? My house is a 1920-40 era colonial so the house is pretty old. The basement wasn't finished, but there was drywall on the wall where the crack was. I removed the wall because of water damage and I found the crack. I am not going to finish the basement, I just want to waterproof the wall, paint it and have the exposed concrete. I plan on doing this myself if it is possible. Additionally I found some thin roots in the wall where the 1/2in layer of concrete came off. Should I be worried about that? Thanks in advance.
we had this problem in my old house honestly the best thing you can do is call a professional foundation service to fix it right so it does not get worse over the coming years and become a serious problem but you can get some stuff kinda like concrete but its used to patch stuff like that you could find it at home depot then id cover it with stop leak to seal it from moisture or you could get ghetto if your stapped for cash and just get some good caulk to fill it but i doubt it would last all too long
