Your phone should work with any sim-card, including your sim-card from T-Mobile. But for that, you have to purchase a phone without any telco contract and you have to buy from indepedent phone sellers at their shops and its easy to find in Malaysia and less so in Taiwan. As for whether it will work in Czech Republic, you should consult T-mobile and not the handphone seller, cause its more towards the service provider on its roaming network connectivity, rather than the connectivity of the mobile phone. Consult T-Mobile for more detail about it.

Q: I have a T-Mobile Shadow. It's old and beat up and I got it in about 2008. I think Its due for an upgrade but I don't know which phones I can get for it. I really want the HTC HD2. I was wondering if I could upgrade to that phone for free or if it would cost anything. Or any other phone for that matter. Preferably a touch screen phone, its just easier.: You need to go to the T-Mobile website and sign into your account or if you haven't set up an online account, do so. All cell phone carriers have their sites set up that will show you 1. If you qualify for an upgrade. 2. How much this upgrade will cost. For instance: Sprint lets me get an upgrade every year. Some phones are absolutely free and some I would have to pay a small fee ( such as a 300. phone I might only pay $50). Also, Sprint will let me upgrade after 6 months however, the credit I get is less. At 6 months, I get $50 and then at 8 months $75 and so on.) If you are not computer savvy and cannot find how to do this on your own, call T-Mobile. They will gladly and willingly direct you to their sales department and tell you what you qualify for. Q: i was wondering what kind of other phones are good for texting with keyboard for t-mobile?! ohh and besides the sidekick!: T-Mobile phones with full QWERTY keyboards are the T-Mobile G1, the Samsung Gravity, various BlackBerry models, and the T-Mobile Dash and Wing. And the Sidekicks which you already know about! I think the G1 is best. It also has a touchscreen.

Q: I have just received an upgrade from T-Mobile. Whilst I like the phone I want to unlock it so I can put a cheaper SIM in for my trips to Jersey. Only one network on Jersey (UK).The phone is a Samsung U800 which seems to prove hard to unlock??An internet service could not help and Tmobile says it takes 28 days.Does anyone know of a high street shop that could unlock and not charge that much?Cheers: Dont go to the High streets, you are better off going to the small independant shops. they have the software to get it sorted for you and the longest they will take is 24 hours at a cost of 5 - 10 quid
