Then other names pop up like Scorpius and scorpius refresh and volan and Corona and pile driver. If some one can sort this all out for me that would be nice.
- Bulldozer = codename for the micro architecture series as a whole Zambezi = example of a sub-codename for specific lines in the series. for example, Zambezi is the codename given to the FX 4100-8150 which are their mainstream desktop CPUs. codename Interlagos was given to their Opertron server desktop CPUs. FX = Marketing name for the micro architecture. You really don't have to pay attention to any of the codenames.
- Q:What some ways that the specs of an AMD Athlon and an AMD Bulldozer would differ?

- So far no problems with the fx 8150 , the performance of the fx 8150 fail to beat the i7-2600k in benchmarks but ahead of the i5-2500k not overclock, the 8 core processor is good for gaming , video editing, 3 d effects, music production, along with the pc having other good specs as well as a good graphic card , so far it's living up to it's expectations even some pc mags give it good reviews , go for it dude , more bang for your bucks it would be the wise choice .

- Q:I was wondering if anyone has any experience with them yet? Looking for processor and they are cheaper. I heard the 8core verison hate issues . So was looking seeing if anyone used. The 4 or 6core version? I going to be using it for gaming/ anything else. Otherwise I'm going to use intel core 5 2500 or 2550k sandybridge.
- From everything I've read (not personal experience) the i5 2500K is the CPU to go with at the moment for gaming on a budget. It's the CPU I will be buying when I build a new gaming rig this spring.

- For gaming the x4 would be completely fine. And don't worry about the amd/ intel debate, intel is better but not nearly as much as amateurs believe
