Q: Im flying overseas soon with thai air and want to bring my mobile phone on the plane to listen to music my phone has an offline mode on it will i be allowed to use it on the plane im flying with thai air?
The problem is that flight staff are not trained in all the various cell-phones. You may have to show them the actual process of turning it into flight mode. Even so, the captain has final discretion. The problem is that devices such as cell phones have interfered with navigation instruments. It may be an inconvenience, but it is for your safety. This is one of the biggest problems with all in one phones. And also why I keep a small MP3 player in addition to a smart phone.
Q: i have mobile phone tools but it dont work help ?and how do i have my default phone to be a razr v3 ??
If you have Motorola Mobile Phone Tools, you need to have some means of connecting the phone to the computer. You have three choices - Infrared, Cable and Bluetooth. Also, you need to have your phone enabled to allow data transfer. If you have Cingular service, this is enabled already, if Verizon, then you will have to get the data transfer unlocked. Once data transfer is unlocked, the Phone Tools program will walk you through the setup for the phone. If you can't figure this out, then you need to study the help file for the program and learn how to use it. I would normally be happy to tell you how to use it, but not knowing your computer and your phone, I can't. Good luck, feel free to email if you need more help or would like to convey more information.
Q: I have a T-Mobile phone and I was wondering if I could trade it in for free at the T-Mobile place
Check out this website
Q: I bought a sidekick phone from t-mobile in the states. and I was wondering since it says that it's a quadband phone and unlocked, if I could use it in germany?? aren't quadband phones suppose to work everywhere in the world? could I just put a SIM card from a german provider in my phone once I get there?will it work??thx
Yep, will work. I did the same with my three-band mobile phone from the states. I also bought it from T-mobile. I am German and was in the states for some time, loved my phone and took it back home, put my old sim-card in from my prepaid phone -works! No problem, other than the language I have on my phone is English now, and T9 for texting won't work with texts in German, as the vocabulary I would need to teach my phone exceeds the capacity. So I type my texts manually. But what the heck. Phone works.
Q: I was deciding if the I-phone 3gs was a good choice, but i was thinking if a T-Mobile one was better. Please help me!
I love the I phone. Sprint is supposed to get the I phone 5 in October. T Mobile is merging with att so it is not a good idea to sign a contract with them. There are many complaints with the T Mobile phones.I hope that this helps.
Q: i seen a verizon phone that i had b4 just with virgin mobile. its the same exact phone just with a verizon plan so i was wondering if i could take it to a cricket phone store and have them convert it like they do with virgin mobile phones. is this possible???????
yes it is, i've done it before. it would be impossible to do that with a t-mobile phone or att since they use SIM cards, but virgin mobile, sprint, verizon, and cricket all run on CDMA. but cricket won't be able to flash it for you, some cricket stores do but non that i've been too, you'll have to look up online for stores in your location that will flash it for you. let me explain what flashing is. flashing is basically re-wiring your phones hardware to work with another service provider. there are two kinds of flashing, full flash and partial flash. FULL FLASH: this means that when your phone is fully flashed to work on crickets network, talk, text, pix, web etc will all work. PARTIAL FLASH: this means that ONLY talk and text will work some phones can be both fully and partially flashed, some phones can only be partially flashed and not fully flashed, and some phones cannot be flashed at all. it all depends on the phone, and the store you take it to. just write down the phones model and company (LG, motorola, etc) and call the store you want to go to and ask them if they can flash it. if you want it fully flashed, make sure you clearly specify that you want it FULLY flashed. fully flashing a phone will be more expensive that partially flashing. full flashes can typically go anywhere from $40 to $70 dollars. this all depends on the phone, and who you go to, to get it flashed. there are people on craigslist sometimes who can flash phones, but i would choose a business over a random dude on craigslist anyday so yes it is possible, depending on the phone
Q: I was wondering could i flash my virgin mobile rumor 2 phone to metro pcs.if anyone knows please let me know thanks.
Great question, hope people can give some insightful answers
Q: do you have a mobile phone?who uses mobile phone the most in your family?
I would have to say I probably do (20 y/o male) but my sister is either a close second or beats me (18 y/o). I use mine frequently, especially texting, but also placing calls, taking pictures and videos, and playing games. My sister regularly takes calls on our home phone, but most of my friends don't even know that number. Both of my parents have cell phones, my dad hardly ever uses his.
Q: I bought an LG OptimusV right before Christmas and for about a month now though, it has been freezing up. It is to the point now where at least twice daily it will completely lock until I take out the battery and replace it. Since this phone is under warranty still, I know I can get a replacement from Virgin Mobile. Is there any way though that Virgin Mobile could give me a completely different model? I've had so many other issues with this phone regarding battery life and now this freezing issue, that I really don't want another Optimus. Does Virgin offer any sort of discount on other models in this situation or am I stuck with getting another LG Optimus V?
Is there any way though that Virgin Mobile could give me a completely different model? The warranty replacement will only be another replacement Optimus V. Does Virgin offer any sort of discount on other models in this situation or am I stuck with getting another LG Optimus V? If you are pursuing the warranty replacement route, then you are stuck with another Optimus V, and they do not offer discounts on replacement phones. I would agree that the Optimus V is not a good phone, but when you look at how cheap that Virgim Mobile is, you can see how they cannot offer higher quality phones (basically it will be costly enough that it will cost them customers, as they typically want things on the cheap.). At least the phones that Virgin Mobile offers are better quality than those that Straight Talk offers (around 1 in 5 Straight Talk phones are defective).
Q: I found this online:If you leave your mobile phone charger plugged into the mains you will use the same amount of electricity whether or not your mobile is being charged. So when you've finished charging your phone unplug your charger! Is it true? Surely if the phone isn't connected, there is no circuit, so no power will be used.?
The modern chargers used by the mobile phones do not use transformers, but rather a fully electronic circuit that converts the AC power to a small DC voltage. But as there's no power switch in the charger to physically open the circuit (turn it off), even when it is on no-load status (no phone being charged) part of the internal circuits will still be on. To illustrate, here's an example: a typical mobile phone with a 900mAh battery will consume approx. 3.5Wh when charging and something a bit under 0.5Wh when in 'standby' mode.
