Product Description

Zirconia is most famous high-performance material among all oxide ceramics. Ceramic components made out of Zirconia generally consist of Zirconia as basic material doped with some percentage of other oxides like Yttria (Y2O3) or Magnesia (MgO). Depending on doping material different material properties could be achieved because of influencing the Yttria's microstructure. The "ceramic steel" titled Zirconia is doped with Yttria forming an ultra-fine ductile structure with sub-micron grain formation leading to enormous bending strengths. Magnesia doped qualities are less strong also showing a coarser microstructure.

Common applications of Zirconia ceramics include extrusion dies, wire and pipe extension, guide and other wear rollers, pressure valves, and bearing materials.

Q:Hi! so it‘s getting close to Christmas time, and every year i like to make things for my older sister. For example, last year i bought a mid sized mirror with a wooden frame from a.c. moore, and painted the frame and put pictures from her wedding (which was in the previous october) all along the frame. but my point is, i like to make handmade things, but ones that look really nice. ANYWAYS, this year, since her and her husband will be moving into a new house in january, i wanted to make them something they could use in their home. i was thinking of making her hand-painted plates that are dishwasher safe, but i wasn‘t sure where to purchase plates that i could handpaint, and what paint to get, and how to get them safe to eat off of, and dishwasher safe. so if you guys know any details that would be greatly appreciated, as i have absolutely no clue how to do this!! thanks!!and if anybody has any other homemade gift ideas that are nice, please let me know!!
There have been some very good suggestions about how to solder the pipes to the valve body. Unless I missed it however, one important item has been overlooked. Before you attempt to solder in the valve body take it apart so the washers and seals inside the valve are not damaged during the heating process. When it is all soldered and cooled you can reassemble the valve.
Q:I have a hot air which is ok. Would a ceramic do a much better job?
The answer to your question is a rousing It depends. There are too many variables. How much insulation do you have? What is the climate where you live? etc. I will tell you that we have a ceramic heater and it works GREAT! We live in the tropics where it doesn't get cold often and therefore have no heat in our house. The rare times that it does get cold (to us anyway) we fire up the heater and it keeps whatever room we are using it in quite comfortable. It occasionally gets to the 40s (F) here and every winter, we have weather in the low 50s. We just move the heater from room to room as needed and have no problem.
Q:Hot Cheetos are my favorite chips, and I haven‘t eaten any since the day I got my braces put on. I‘m terrified that they will stain my clear ligatures, and I was wondering if anyone knew for sure. If I eat them while drinking water constantly and brush immediately afterward, will I be okay?In the event they do stain, I mean. xD
I have ceramic braces and I eat anything I want. I remember they stained for a couple of months and they were a little yellow and I didn't know what to do, but then I started using whitening toothpaste, and I would leave it on each brace for like 15 minutes and they would become whiter again. Anyways, using whitening toothpaste with flouride should prevent the stains, it does for me.
Q:thank you people for answering
well there are two types;; ceramics and ones that are not. the ceramics one usually cost more. they SHOULD have ceramic ones. if they do, it'll say it on there if you buy it.
Q:Our kitchen has an original vinyl floor and we are going to get ceramic tile now. I assumed the vinyl would be removed before installing the tile, but a contractor says we should leave the vinyl installed and just cover it. Anybody know if this is likely to be correct. Please, no guesses. The opinions of people who truly know what they are talking about would be appreciated.
Here's your solution. Since you must use an underlayment of mesh and scratch coat cement or 'hardibacker' sheets, leaving the vinyl in place is one less step, and eliminates the possibility of airborne irritants like asbestos when you skin or sand existing vinyl floors. (relax, asbestos is very rare) Mesh and cement MAY NOT adhere to the shiny vinyl, so a backer-board is the only way to go. Make sure your tile contactor spreads 1/8 of mortar on to the floor BEFORE they lay the sheets into it, and nail or screw every 8 inches, on square. Trowel your tile setting cement on the backerboard and away you go. Most backerboard systems are warrantied for 1 year if you install them this way.
Q:What kinds of ceramics do you have?
There are many classifications of ceramics, which are generally classified according to the following four aspects:According to the use of points, can be divided into daily-use ceramics, art (display) ceramics, sanitary ceramics, building ceramics, electrical appliances, ceramics, electronic ceramics, chemical ceramics, textiles, ceramics, through thousands (gas transmission), ceramics and so on.
Q:Are higher priced ceramic brake pads better than lower priced ones?
It depends on the specs. For average daily use, just go for the cheaper one. Unless you plan to put a lot of stress on your brakes, basically for racing applications. Using racing brakes on a commuter car can actually be bad, because some of the high end pads need to be heated up to work right. Which won't happen in a commute.
Q:which are better for agressive driving
There are two types of fittings you can use. If you have a pipe nipple with the end threaded then you want a female copper adapter. If you need to adapt from a galvanized fitting like a tee or elbow then you want a male copper adapter. Obviously you need the right size, usually 3/4 or 1/2 inch. You must determine this to buy the correct size fitting. Use a good teflon tape on the threaded connections.
Q:I have strange hair. My hair is mostly thick, but thinner and finer at the top, and sort of curly/wavy. It‘s a poofy mess. It is like this because when I was younger, I used to dye my hair black a lot and straighten my hair every day. It‘s gotten a lot better now since I have stopped doing all that, but it‘s very hard to make it look nice. I want to get a waver, because I love wavy hair,! And I would love to make my hair look more polished. I have heard that gold plated hair styling tools are better for your hair because they cause less damage, but if you have thicker hair to get a ceramic/metal tool. Since I have a mix of different things, I don‘t know what to pick. Which would be best for me?Please and thank you. lt;3
Get ceramic !!! ceramic tools are perfect for thick hair and wont damage it as much as metal or gold plated. I only use ceramic on my hair because I have over straightened it. So now its in the healing process and when I do straighten it I use my ceramic flat iron.
Q:I am getting ceramic braces. What are the foods that stain them? What stains them? What can i do to prevent stains and how can I get rid of them? How long is the procedure for an overbite and a REALLY small underbite? Im going to see an Ortho so if they stained wouldnt i get the part that stains changed every month? HELP please.
I'm not a dentist, but I have ceramic braces. The ceramic braces itself do no stain, but the ligs do. You should avoid tea, coffee, curry is a big no-no, dark sodas, tomato-based food (pizza, spaghetti etc.) berries Anything that has like a strong color I guess - Just wash/brush your mouth after eating, always have like a bottle of water and use a straw if you want a coke or something And yeah, the ligs are changed every month ^^
