I have a stepson who has a keen interest in combine harvesters and I had the idea to take him to see them being built at a farm machinery manufacturer somewhere, but have no idea who to enquire for about this and whether they would allow a factory tour to see these machines being put together. Does anyone have information that could be of help to me to arrange this for him as a surprise day out? Thanks.

MINI MULTIPURPOSE MACHINE , I'd guess you'll get what you pay for, i.e.. not much. I'd imaging that within it's limited capacity is might be an adequate (depending on ones requirements) lathe, but milling capacity will be quite limited.

Can you just tell me what you did as a machinery repairman? Where was your first station that you went to? Or where you assigned directly to a ship? Did you ever get stationed at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard? Did you ever go overseas? Were you on the ship more or on shore more? And finally but not least when you were deployed how long were you usually deployed for?i know i have alot of questions but its something im interested in and no one has given me a straight answer.
