FAQ

When I say new age metal I mean metalcore (Bands-All That Remains, Killswitch Engage), death metal (Beneath The Massacre, Cannibal Corpse), groove metal (Chimaira, Lamb Of God), and the like. Many people are disgusted at them but I prefer them to the classic types of metal...power metal and other genres like it. I'd just like to know why so many people diss new age metal.
Plain old batteries such as AA and 9V batteries don't actually contain battery acid. For this reason they are called dry cell batteries. Batteries in cars and trucks are called wet-cell batteries and contain sulphuric acid, which can 'melt' through many everyday metals such as zinc and iron.
I recently wrote a rap song that has lyrics about heavy metal bands. mostly old school metal. my issue is would the metal fans frown upon it becuz i see a lot of metalheads hate rap. on the other side would the rap fans frown upon it beucz of the lyrics?
Death Metal Symphonic metal (does that count as heavy metal?)
I get confused when you start throwing black metal sub genres at me. Im just now discovering deafheaven and people describe them as blackgaze and I have no idea what that is nor what post black metal is. Deafheaven sounds like atmospheric black metal to me?
A metal (Greek: Metallon) is an element that readily forms positive ions (cations) and has metallic bonds. Metals are sometimes described as a lattice of positive ions surrounded by a cloud of delocalized electrons. The metals are one of the three groups of elements as distinguished by their ionisation and bonding properties, along with the metalloids and nonmetals. On the periodic table, a diagonal line drawn from boron (B) to polonium (Po) separates the metals from the nonmetals. Elements on this line are metalloids, sometimes called semi-metals; elements to the lower left are metals; elements to the upper right are nonmetals. A modern definition of metals is that they have overlapping conduction bands and valence bands in their electronic structure. This definition opens up the category for metallic polymers and other organic metals, which have been made by researchers and employed in high-tech devices. These synthetic materials often have the characteristic silvery-grey reflectiveness of elemental metals. The traditional definition focuses on the bulk properties of metals. They tend to be lustrous, ductile, malleable, and good conductors of electricity, while nonmetals are generally brittle (for solid nonmetals), lack lustre, and are insulators. Rest all are non metals.

Detroit Metal City aka DMC Don't judge a book by it's cover. The art is meh but the humor is out the roof. I nearly peed my pants 3 times watching that series. Seriously, I had to waddle to the bathroom. It's a gag anime about a guy who wanted to be a soft-pop musician but somehow ended up being the lead singer-guitarist for a death metal band.
how does a blacksmith moulds a metal?????

the difference between folk, symphonic, power, death, heavy, and black metal
it's close enough, a lot of people aren't willing to call deathcore metal because of the hardcore influence, but there's tons of metal with non metal influence, so it just turns into a case of whether or not you hate the style of music that metal is being blended with, that almost always determines how willing people are to call something metal, bands like Ensiferum and Tyr are acknowledged as being metal because most metalheads don't hate traditional folk music.
Like I said in the other BotB, if I only do a limit of 16 sub-genres for rock and metal combined then I'll probably miss out a lot of them. This is the metal BotB. There are 12 sub-genres of metal here, I didn't do 16 like the rock/punk BotB in case RP weren't familiar with 16 sub genres of metal. Please choose TWO of your favorite bands for each. Like I said in the other BotB, if one sub-genre doesn't get enough bands then I'll get rid of it. I'll keep this question up for a week, or 4 days if I don't get any answers for a while. Thanks everyone ( = Heavy Metal (20th Century) - Heavy Metal (All time) - Groove metal - Industrial Metal - Trash Metal - Progressive Metal -Speed Metal - Gothic Metal - Symphonic Metal - Power Metal -Metalcore/Deathcore - Nu Metal -
Metals only conduct electricity coz of their FREE electrons.but the electrons in a non metal r not free.
