FAQ

I just need some cool facts about the Transition metals. Like I said the first two times, I am working on an Inquiry on the periodic table
there are bands who are softer than them who get classified as metal, so simply saying they're not heavy enough doesn't cut it, the line that separates hard rock from metal is really arbitrary sometimes.
In what ways do metalloids differ from true metals?
Electrolysis of the molten compound. As these metals are very reactive you need a very strong reducing system to produce the metal. A cathode is a powerful reducing system. If you try to do a displacement reaction, you would need a more reactive metal than the one you are trying to extract. Even if possible, it would be very expensive and dangerous to handle.
Why are metals and their atoms insoluble in water? Thank you.
1) by adding a less noble metal (for example Zn or aluminum to steel), which will corrode faster, meaning will oxidize faster). It's the same principle as in a battery - a more active metal will dissolve faster 2)by galvanization - physical protection by coating a corrosion-prone metal with a protective agent like zinc. Also a layer of paint, enamel, or plastic can be applied.
Don't worry if you get mixed up a bit with your sub categories. Sometimes it's not always clear-cut and hard to define.Example Mine...Followed by your favorite album if you wish.Death Metal - Death - SymbolicBlack Metal - Absu - Occult...Melodic Death/Black - Dark Tranquillity - The Mind's iViking/Folk Metal - Amon Amarth - Vs the WorldThrash Metal - Megadeth count? if not Overkill - Rust In PeaceHeavy Metal (pre 80s) - Black Sabbath - Sabbath Bloody SabbathHair Metal - ??? noble metals refer to elements having high resistant to chemical reaction or to corrosion. The term noble metals has its origins in ancient alchemy, the practice of attempting to transform base metals into gold. Noble metals is not synonymous with precious metals, (a term used to describe expensive metals used for making coins, jewelry, and ornaments) although gold, silver, and platinum are both noble and precious metalsosion meaning that they will not easily dissolve in solvents or in rust.,
I looked up metal in a dictionary and I only found 7 definitions, but one was certainly missing. Here is what I found:1.One of a category of electropositive elements that are usually whitish, lustrous, and, in the transition metals, typically ductile and malleable with high tensile strength.2. An alloy of two or more metallic elements3.An object made of metal4. Basic charachter:METTLE5. Molten glass, especially when used in glassmaking6. Molten cast iron7. Printing type made of metalI thought that one other definition was definitely missing. So why do you think metal gets so much disrespect from so many people, and how can the metal artists get more respect from the public.
All That Remains Karate High School (my bestie's is love with this band at the moment)
metal detecter circuitis that circuit wich detects any type of metal if present.
I agree with Grammaton; most pedals are pretty poor pieces of equipment. Try to find a good amp with good distortion, it'll sound nicer in the long run. If you really want a pedal, though, there are some good ones, such as the Ibanez Tube King (not Tube Screamer), which has a pretty nice distortion. However, the best pedal I've ever heard is the Boss Heavy Metal HM-2. It's a discontinued product, but you can find it on okorder for a reasonable price, and it sounds absolutely incredible. I own one and I use it fairly often, mostly on my 212 amp. My half stack sounds better just with its own distortion, though. But, go to some stores, try out some equipment, see what you think sounds best. After all, the best judge of your amp tone is you. As a last note, the Boss Metal Zone pedal is absolute crap. Avoid it at all costs, it sounds like canned bees.

what are metals use for
I got into the the classic stuff a while back (before then I had listened to Indie sh*t, and realised the level of musicianship in metal was far higher). From the I mainly listend to classic metal and NWOBHM. Venom was the band that got me into the harder stuff - thrash metal. From Thrash I got into death and black metal, but my interest in black metal has largley dropped off (though there are still a few excellent bands).
