- It should be one of a couple standard styles. Electronics stores should have them.

- Not sure why you would be wanting a resistor in your car audio system. Capacitors are used to give you a short term boost in available power, such as that required when your amp produces a quick strong bass note, such as a kick drum. - What did the electrician say? This is not exactly a DIY project, because it requires inspection and possibly permits. You cannot connect this yourself. The size if the wire is related to the material, distance, and power. It may also be related to local practices. The old 60 amp service entrance is illegal, so you may have to upgrade to 200 amp which would be way different for wire size. An electrician will know the codes relevant to your situation. You can probably get the wire at a home improvement or electrical supply house but the electrician will have to make the connections. Plus, it keeps you from frying yourself or the electric company from pulling the plug.

- Q:I have a Raidmax 730w power supply, and its modular. there is only one plug in for a 6 pin, and the cable has 2 different 6 pins on the same cable. Will this cable be able to run 2 different video cards running XFire? or will is also be able to run say a 6870 that requires 2 6 pin connectors?
- You should be able to feed two cards that each require 1 6/8 pin PCI-E power source... or 1 card that requires 2 6/8 pin PCI-E power source. A cable with 6 pin provides 75W power to the card. With the 75W available on the PCI-E x16 slot, that would be a 150W supply. 2 6 pins will up the available wattage to 225W. Cards that require a 6 pin and 8 pin are 300W cards. Your cable/PSU port is designed to provide any of those combinations of power to the videos card(s).

- Q:The inside of my computer has a modular power supply that did not come with enough cables, and I have a graphics card that requires two 6 pin connections to the power supply. Luckily, my power supply has just enough open slots. The problem is that I can't find a place to buy a simple 6 pin cable. It needs to be about a foot long to reach. Can someone please help me? I would prefer newegg if possible, but I searched there and I'm getting pretty frustrated.
- Assuming that the power supply can power the card you need a molex to 6pin adapter. They sell them on newegg. You wont be able to buy a 6pin cable unless your power supply is modual meaning you can disconnect the wires from the PSU. Most power supply's you cant do this and the ones that do cost extra.

- Power cable isn't made of plastic, it is copper or aluminum covered with PE, PVC, or PTFE plastic.
