- Q: I have nine month old twins and they are starting to crawl and touch everything and I dont want them to get hurt. How can I hide all these loose cables. (modem, phone lines, power surges, chargers, camera cables, etc)
- just about any store that has a electronics department will have something for you to use. there are covers/guides designed for that purpose. good luck with the twins
- Q: My brother lost the cable from the wall to the back of the power supply for his dell somehow, and I have one for a different brand (gateway). Are the cables themselves an interchangeable industry standard?
- If you're talking desktops, then yes, the cord is an industry standard. You can swap them around as you wish. The same 3 prong cable is used by many other electronic devices (TVs, stereos, etc) Laptop chargers are an entirely different matter.
- Q: I have a cam camcorder battery charger power cable and I want to use it as a ps1 power cable. Is It possible. The both look the same.
- The charger isn't meant to be a capacity source, purely a charging source. As such, with out battery, this is voltage will selection badly whilst a load is utilized and would land up adverse the stereo and/or the charger.
- Q: i cant seem to find a place to put my power cable to the inner part of the car.i dont seem to find a decent place to drill a hole to or the firewall i think its what itscalled, im using a buick regal 1992.... i was thinking of putting it through the door, is that safe?is it done sometimes or not recommended at all?
- I've gone through the door with 6 gauge wire, I wouldn't recommend this at all, but especially with anything larger than 6 gauge. It didn't really let any water in at all, but I must have gotten lucky, I've heard a bunch of horror stories with that. I'd say just look harder or if absolutely necessary, go through the floor, but make sure to seal it up good. Note: I was running a 450 watt amp at the time I had the 6 gauge wire, now I've got a 1000 watt mono amp with 0 gauge wire running through the firewall :-)
- Q: What is the role of white mesh in power cables?
- Section 4 "Downhole Cable" Article 466 No cable should be laid in the total return airway and the dedicated return airway
- Q: I'm getting a new graphics card and my PC does not have the 6 pin power adapter already installed so i will have to buy the wire myself and connect it to the power supply.Only problem is i don't really have any clue on how to do so and can't find anything anywhere on how to do it.That's pretty much it and thanks in advance.
- But If I have only one moles connector from my PSU, Can I use an Molex splitter for get the 2 connectors that I need?
- Q: i have a 01 grand prix gt and i want to run the power cable to an amp , anyone know a good spot to run it?
- I recommend running it on the same side as your battery. That way you won't have to cross all the way to the other side of the car. Also, it reduces the length required for the wire. If there is somewhere that you can life up (like a panel you can pull up on the bottom of your car, where the doors are), you can potentially hide the wire under that and run it also.
- Q: on a 600 watt amp will it blow my amp?
- You won't have a problem using a 1200 watt wiring kit power wire. Usually it says 4 gauge but it really be 6 gauge in a 4 gauge installation. There are only a few companies making real 4 gauge power wire, if you take a cheap brand 4 gauge wire and hold it with a more expensive brand wire you will see the difference! But to get back on track 4 gauge wire is the best wire to use on any install cause its not too big and not too small, just make sure you hook a fuse! Good luck!
- Q: ok so i opend up my machine, and i bassicly took apart the processor and removed the dail up pci card thingy, then i put it all back together and i also took off the case, which meant removing all case power leads, quot;power SWand power led etc. but i put them all in the same place i took them out, well i think i did, theres so many different slots it they could go into, it would take at least 500 attempts to find the right slots for all, not to mention the fact i might blow the board. so has anyone got the manual for this motherboard. or no where to find an online one. cus i need to know where to plug them in. thanks
- With maximum motherboards there is purely one thank you to attach the flexibility cable to the board, otherwise it purely wont in effective condition. i think there's a splash notch on the cable which ought to line up with the notch on the board
- Q: I'm getting some upgrades for my pc and that includes a new power supply with the necessary amperage and 2 6-pin pci-e connectors to power my card. The card is already here but the psu probably won't get here until next week. I want to know if there is any way to run the card from the power coming from the pci-e slot. The card requires 2x 6-pin connectors, but i want to install it now to get that out of the way...
- No, it will simply not work as the additional power supply is needed even for normal operation (not just gaming). This is designed to avoid overloading the motherboard's power circuits.
