- Q: I need a low profile extention to the exsiting power cable so it can run along the skirting to the mains socket.I was thinking of joining flex wire to the existing cable, wrapping the 3 cores with heatshrink, and then wrapping the whole thing with white insulation tape. the guy from maplin told me I could do this but then I''ve heard that this is a bad idea (and probably against UK safety regulations).
- What I would do is make an extension up and just plug the heater into that. When you don't use the heater anymore use the extension for something else. Normally you need a Janus plug a normal plug and 2.5mm^2 three core flex. You can solder the wires and heat shrink it, just make sure the solder join is done well. If you just twist it together it might heat up and burn.

So far I've got the 3 RCA cables ran, along with the blue remote turn-on wire along the right side of my truck. - Separating the power the speaker wires is not as important in a car that uses DC voltage as it is in a home system that has AC voltage. It certainly doesn't hurt anything, tho.... If you do run them across each other, keep the intersection as close to a good right angle as possible. And, air is a very good insulator, so keeping some distance between the power the speaker wires is also very good.

- you always take wat amp fuses you have in the amp and add them all together and thats the minimun fuse amp you can have in your power, your amp has 2 25amp fuses so you need at least a 50amp fuse on ur power wire, and if you have the lil fuses you cant go beyond 40 so youll have to go get a MAXI fuse block and get a 60amp fuse and you will b fine, you can find them on OKorder for less than 10bucks or at walmart for 15-20bucks, good luck
