Q: Ok, so an unexpected suprise happened today while I was on Google. My turtle laid 2 eggs. How can we incubate them, what can we use to hold them, and how long do they take to hatch?Specific information please.
female RES turtles will lay eggs without mating, that are not fertile. meaning they will not hatch. you can actually go ahead and throw the eggs away, they will rot.
Q: ok so my leopard gecko will be laying eggs soon. i know that you have to keep the vermiculite damp for the eggs..but how do i do that? do i just wet it once or mist it all the time with the eggs still in there?
Vermiculite an Perlite
Q: Hi the angle of the cracks formed is almost constant and is about 45 degree(not sure). can you please tell me the exact reason for that?please I need the answer uurgently
Vertisols have high amounts (30%) shrink and swell clays (2:1) such as vermiculites and smectites. The shrink and swell characteristics are responsible for the opening and closing of the cracks in the soil depending on the moisture. These soils crack on the shear planes, when the hydration of clays exceed the shear strength from a range of 10-60 degrees above the horizontal. Not always 45 degrees. hope this helps. Q: pretty much just wanted to see if it would work. I dug a hole put several different layers of wet hay(dryed grass), vermiculite, rye flour, water, and old dead wood, like a tree that's been dead on the ground for years ate up by bugs and what not to the point where its orange(I shredded up the wood pretty good ). I also crumbled up one of my B+ mycilium cakes on the bottom and on the some semi top layer. Just to try even more I squirted about 10cc of My spore syringe on multiple layers. I kno I probably should of used poo but like I said I just wanted to try. Think it might work? Tips would be appreciated. Thank u
I had a tarantula, to wash her tank all we did replaced into take her out, positioned her in an enclosed area, trash each and all the bedding (we used ceder i've got faith) then take a sponge (NO cleansing soap) moist it (returned, even be certain that it did no longer comprise cleansing soap on it) then basically scrub the tank (use warm water) then set up the tank returned additionally, if he/ she did no longer start up yet, while he/she starts development webs up the area of the tank, sparkling it greater normally because of the fact with that and slippery aspects, makes for a unfavourable blend while it consists of tarantulas, OH, additionally, while he/she is molting, do no longer put in to any extent further crickets (or what ever he/she eats) and don't pass the tank or him/her, you may tell if he/she is molting if he/she continues to be, yet no longer limp, before this, he/she could have tended to misplaced all of his/her fur.
Q: ive asked a lot of questions about breeding turtles but i want to do it right, first i have yellow bellied turtles, there 3 years old, i have a 40 gallon tank, my female turtle is 7 inches, is that big enough? second how do i get ready for her to lay eggs(im not talking about after she lays her eggs im talking about before she lays her eggs) third do i need an incubator to get the eggs to hatch, is there any other way that would work if so that be great, so please help i want to breed real bad thank you
The earliest age to reproduce crimson Ear Sliders would be around 5-6 years and whilst the shell reaches around 8 inches in diameter. adult males have very long nails for the mating technique and long slender tails women human beings have short stubby nails besides as short stubby tails.
Q: Im growing all kinds of stuff, not sure if certain soil differs.but is there some kind of soil that just stands out from the rest? Thanks.
Supersoil is best for any plants that like it rich. But for plants that prefer less rich soil, the store brand at any big box store will do. Depends on what you're planting. If it's too rich, you'll get more foliage at the expense of flowers, for example, like with cosmos. If you want to make lighter soil richer, just add spent coffee grounds, eggshells, or grass clippings.
Q: It has to do with establishing root from say a branch from a tree or shrub. The rooting hormone, rootone, talks about planting the starter in a root medium.
It means the material you will be rooting the plant in such as vermiculite, sand, soil, or some combination of those.
Q: Where is the specialty of vermiculite?
Vermiculite in China Xinjiang, Russia, Zimbabwe, Australia, Kola Peninsula and South Africa have produced in the United states.
Q: Long story short. I moved into a new house on 10 acres. I wanted a garden. There was already a existing garden, so I made it bigger much much bigger. After tilling the spot I can help but notice shinny little flakes of a golden color. Now I am finding these flakes more and more. The deeper I dig the bigger the flakes are getting. I want to take these flakes somewhere to see what they are, but I haven't yet. I don't want to look or sound crazy... lol Would there be a reason for gold to be in a garden? Like as in some types of fertilizer or store purchased planting soil? Info about the property. Location Northern Florida, 25 minutes south of the GA. line.
Hi, you're doing things pretty much right, just two points to mention, one is to open the cool box lid to allow a change of air each day and when you come to replenish water in the compost mix you are using use a sprayer and try not to wet the eggs themselves. As the time for hatching gets closer you may notice that the eggs start to dent inwards but don't be alarmed as this is quite normal, in about48 to 55 days when the young slit the egg case they may not emerge strait away so don't think they are having trouble because they tend to do this. Some mothers do tend to get a little stressed when they are close to laying but this will pass quickly. She will be hungry now as she won't have eaten for a while so give her a good size mouse and resume normal feeding
