Tower Crane TC7034 FAQ:

1.What is tower crane?

Tower crane is a modern form of balance crane that consist of the same basic parts. Fixed to the ground on a concrete foundation (and sometimes attached to the sides of structures as well), tower cranes often give the best combination of height and lifting capacity and are used in the construction site.

2. What is the meaning of the tower crane’s code?

Take Tower Crane TC7034 for example, the first two letters “TC” means Tower Crane, “70”means jib length is 70 meter, and the last two letter “34” means the tip load is :3.4 ton.

3. What is the principal to quote the right tower crane to the client?

First, we need to know clients’ requirements, for example, max lifting capacity, height, tip load and jib length.. Second, we need to know what the foundation requirement from the client is and Third if there are special needs. CNBM could suggest proposal according to clear data provided by the clients.

Q:Explain how the idea of a counterweight used in cranes or in stand up basketball hoops relates to the concept of torque and equilibrium?
Sure. Let's say that a crane needs to hoist a load of 10 tons, and that because it needs to reach over some obstacles, needs to lift at a horizontal distance of 50 feet away. That creates a torque about the base of the crane of 500 ton·ft. By positioning a counterweight on the opposite side of the tower, the magnitude of the moment can be mitigated. For instance, let's say a counterweight of 10 tons is positioned at 25 ft on the other side of the tower. The moment produced by the counterweight is 250 ton·ft, so the net moment at the base is 250 ton·ft. Furthermore, when the 10 ton load is positioned and release, there is still a 250 ton·ft moment at the base of the tower; it has simply switched direction (say from rotating the crane to the right, to rotating it to the left). Q:Are the Harland and Wolff cranes in Belfast famous?
The cranes are iconic in Belfast and Northern Ireland. The company itself is most famously known for the building of the Titanic they also specialize in off-shore construction as well. I would say they are well known in Ireland and in some parts of the UK. They are probably known a bit in England as they were very interested in Belfast's heavy industry in the past. I don't think many people outside of Ireland and the UK would know about the Harland and Wolff cranes tbh. You can see them from many places in Belfast and they are a prominent landmark.
Q:How much should the verticality of a tower crane be controlled? Thank you
No, the wind speed is not more than 3m/s, the independent state tower (or attached state highest attachment point above the tower axis) lateral verticality tolerance is 4/1000, the highest tower axis perpendicularity allowed attachment line below the point of difference is 2/1000.

Q:Cranes can be overturned as a result of unknown load weights.?
B. The load radius is the horizontal distance from the center of rotation of the crane to the center of gravity of the load being lifted. The load radius is a critical consideration when determining what size crane is required for most lifts. There is generally a chart that tells what that machine will lift at any boom length,
Q:How do you win a PS3 at crane?
The crane machines work in such a way as to only make the claw strong enough to hold prizes after a certain amount of attempts so as to limit the amount of prizes taken.

From: The Open Boat By Stephan Crane. These waves were of the hue of slate... ...save for the tops, which were of foaming white... Ain't they peaches? A faint yellow tone came into the sky over the low land. ... a small bluish gleam on the edge of the waters. ... with a sky of pure blue...
