6.Conditions of use
Pumps used in the following conditions should be continuously to work properly:
1. For water pumps suitable medium, medium temperature shall not exceed + 40°C
2. The medium PH value between 6.5 ~ 8.5
3. The volume of medium containing solid impurity is less than 0.1%, the size is not more than 0.2 mm
4. The power frequency 50 hz, voltage for single-phase 220 v, 380 v, three-phase voltage fluctuation range for rating of 0.9 to 1.1 times
5. Diving depth of no more than 5 m, is not suitable for irrigation and drainage of sewage and chemicals.

- The water pump is driven by the timing belt on this motor. If it is not done right, you could cause serious damage to the engine. Actually $800 to change the pump and timing belt is reasonable. To lower the price further you could negotiate buying your own parts. Good luck.

- Setting up a pump is not that difficult. But it all depends on the well itself. Is it 4 inches wide? Is there a drop pipe inside? You can research how submesibles, ejector pumps, and jet pumps work and install. Just do some searches online. It all depends on the type of well.
- Q:Had house power washed today and need my water to work again!
- I have never had occasion to wash my house power(?) as you have apparently done, but I would guess that you need to dry out your circuit breaker somehow and then it should work fine, I believe. On the other hand, it may have been irreparably damaged, in which case you should go to Home Depot or Lowes and get a replacement breaker and install the new one.( Be sure to cut the main breaker off before attempting any electrical work such as this. )

- You must have a surface mounted well pump also called a jet pump or you wouldn't hear a noise from a submirsable which is at the bottom of the well. Check where the motor hooks onto the pump itself to see if there are any small oil fittings. I doubt that there are, but it can't hurt to look. If you find any use 3M or similar oil to lubricate the bearings. If the house has been vacant for awhile those bearings might be rusty from sitting, and may stop swealing on their own as you use the pump and the shaft/bearings may grind the surface rust off and stop the noise. If they don't you will have to call a service company to evaluate the problem. Here is part of jet pump potential maintainence issues: Perform necessary pump maintenance: some water pumps require inspection and replacement of internal parts such as bearings or impellers as often as after just four or five years of use. While it may be possible to ignore this maintenance for a while, the effect may be to so wear the pump or pump motor parts that complete pump or pump motor replacement are necessary.
- Q:Every year my family spends a week on a house boat at Lake Powell where it can get extremely hot in the day time. I'd like to build a mist system using pvc pipes and mist spray heads to help cool us down.I'm not sure what kind of water pump to buy? I've looked at different kinds from submersible to non-submersible, all with different amounts of PSI and GPM. I am not familiar with water pumps and could use some community insight.I want to make sure the pump I get does not burn out because of the back pressure it will get due to the mist heads only allowing a little water to escape at a time.I imagine my mist system would have 8 - 12 heads, reaching no more then 30 feet from water source to the end.Any pointers? - I am assuming your water source will be the lake …. I would be looking at a submersible pump possibly a pond pump but you need to know what the “lift” is going to be …from the point where you string the mister to the pump {possibly a 15 foot lift} and a pump that will give you at least 25psi. Because you are going to have back pressure, the submersible will reduce the risk of burn out. Also you need to build a simple enclosed container this pump can sit in, with at least a 4”water inlet hole covered with mosquito netting, nylon hosiery, or something to filter the water….otherwise you will constantly be removing the mister heads to clean
- Q:I have a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix 3.8 v6 engine. My car has been overheating lately and my low coolant light came on so i put antifreeze in it and the light went off. I drove about 3 blocks and the low coolant light came back on again and the thermostat was at the hot mark so i checked the antifreeze and it was just about empty. I did noticed when I was pouring the antifreeze that some did run out the bottom of the car but it wasn't alot. Also I noticed that in the morning when I get up and drive my car the thermostat could be at cold but if I drive about 3 blocks it's almost at the hot mark. Please help me determine whats wrong with my car. Is my water pump bad?
- It could be a number of things. What you need to do is fill it up and run it until it gets to operating temp checking for leaks while its running. If you see the fluid coming from the front of the engine it more than likely the water pump. It could also be a bad cap letting water by a hole in the radiator a hole in one of your cooling hoses or a hole in the block which is unlikely. Try that and see if you can pinpoint it. P.S. if the water pump is bad it sometimes makes a squealing noise dead give a way. Good luck!

- Are the belts the proper tension? Have you stuck your head under the hood while the engine is running to figure out where the noise is coming from? (Be very careful not to hurt yourself while doing this.) If it's still a belt making the noise and it has the proper amount of tension, then get a bar of soap. While the vehicle is on, apply the soap to a pulley the squeaking belt is on. This should get rid of the noise. If it destroys your car and kills you or your cat, I am in no way responsible...Do all of this at your own risk.
- Q:I have a '97 Chevy S-10 2.2 with 208K miles. Today on the way to work the heat cut out suddenly.I have had an issue with my engine where the temp will go up and down while on the highway but maxes out at like 215. Today after the heat cut out it was getting up near the redline before going back down to 150.I made sure the coolant was good before coming home but on the way home it was doing the same thing. I changed the thermostat but it's still doing the same thing.When I rev the engine I can see the upper radiator hose collapsing so it seems like there's a clog somewhere but I don't know how to find it. I guess it could be the water pump but then what is causing the suction on the upper radiator hose?Anyone have any ideas?
- if the top radiator is collapsing then the radiator is clogged up ! i doubt it,s the water pump ! try this ! once the engine is hot, shut it down and feel the radiator fins next to the fan ! if you feel cold spots then the radiator is clogged in some places ! flush out the whole cooling system ! i had a ford truck that did the same thing until i bought a new radiator !
