Q:i need your help because i dont know if its worth getting. does anyone know if it sounds good in person because videos dont always sound the same. and also would it be a good investment for later when i sell the car or would people rather have it stock plz help THANKS.
I don't up-grade my exhaust till I have too! It just does not seem to be worth the price. But if you need one, the Magnaflow should be a nice choice. When buying a car, it it has been made into a boy-racer, I tend to steer clear of it or at least become more critical of the power train condition. But I am an old man, I know from reading classified ads and talking to those younger then me that a hot sound system and loud exhaust will move a car quicker for this set. It may be a piece of junk, but they think is great. I ramble, so to cut through the junk - It is your car and if you like the sound, want the parts and can pay for it -- JUST DO IT! I also find sound bites on youtube before buying, that is good advice.
Q:I have 1996 Eclipse Gs-t , 210 hp stock. Would it be more beneficial to get a cold air or a new exhaust ?? I have about $270 saved and I‘ve found both products that ARE in my price range. I just don‘t which to get.
exhaust first then intake.as its better to get rid of exhaust gases more efficently first than trying to make more power then have it struggle to get out.
Q:I took it off and it is loud, very loud. Its a 2004 chevy silverado v8 and seems to be running good, but im concerned with it in the long haul? Am I do major damage to the truck.am I an idiot lol? Please Help!! Thanks
I don't know what kind of mechanic you're going to, but anyone with a $20 code reader can tell you the code and reset it. If it's an EVAP code, the leak can be from anywhere in the system. The cap is just the most common cause.
Q:i have a 2013 v6 challenger (3.6 LITERS) and the stock dual exhaust system sounds pretty good but its not loud enoughi dont have 500 bucks to change the whole exhaust system but i can afford the mufflers. now is it worth it?btw do they weld it in order to install it or they just use screws cuz i leased the car n i dont think im allowed to do thatplease help!
Does it also require a timing belt?
Q:I just got an exhaust system for my car, bigger tubing and what not. My air intake is still stock though, so will there be a problem with that? I suck in the same amount of air but release it out the exhaust quicker to me that sounds like no problem but friends told me that I would need to upgrade the air intake to keep up. Is that true?
No it's not a problem. If you want a little more horse power go with a KN air filter. If you want more horse power and better Mileage, Go with a cold air intake. But You souldn't cause any problems with the bigger exhaust. You will however have less Back pressure So you may lose some power
Q:Where can I get a dual exhaust system for a 94 GMC Yukon that isnt really expensive?Does Heartthrob make one.?
go to an exhaust shop in your area that bends their own pipes and have them make you a system for your truck, it will be cheaper than buying a system, you can get the mufflers you want from summit racing or Jegs and then just have the shop install the whole system.
Q:I am considering installing after market intake and exhaust systems on my 2000 Toyota Celica GT. However I would assume that a modern sports touring car such as mine would already be fitted with a good setup out of the factory. The 1.8L 4-cylinder engine needs all the help in can get. In other cars I could imagine there would be considerable benefits to after market parts in this are, but I am concerned that I would not see considerable performance increases. If this is the case, where could I see the best value for my money without installing a turbo, supercharger or NOS?
Please do not listen to anyone who tells you you will get 30+hp out of an intake and exhaust system on a bone stock N/A vehicle. That is a flat out lie. If you're looking for true HP the cheapest way would be to install an aftermarket camshaft with a more aggressive grind than you have currently. This WILL add HP because your valves are being lifted more and for a longer duration, thus letting more air/fuel into the engine. It will run you about the same price as an intake/exhaust system, just under $1000 but you will actually see and feel a difference in the way the car performs. It will rev harder and faster. On my 1995 Celica from a camshaft change I saw a consistent 10-15hp gain going up the RPM band starting at 2800, with a peak gain of 25hp, and a redline gain of 20hp (usually where the engine starts to run rich and is just getting flooded with fuel and the power drops off) As for the cold air intake put it this way your car most likely already has one that runs straight to the front of your bumper. so how would changing that so it now sits behind the bumper change your hp? As far as an exhaust, unless you're running a full header-back exhaust with a high-flow cat, you wont see much of a gain because there will be a choke point somewhere in the system, and if you're staying N/A you shouldn't run anything larger than about 2.25/2.5 inches. If your going turbo you run a 2.75-3 inch and larger (depending on the power you're putting out). Hope this helps. (most of the hp claims for aftermarket parts are at the crank, and not the wheels fyi, and a 30hp gain at the crank especially with something as simple as an intake/exhaust, translates into at BEST 10 wheel hp. The figures I gave you for my celica's HP gains were AT the wheels.)
Q:JEGS Cat Back Exhaust for 2002 v6 Mustang?
The tubing is crappy aluminized pipe life span of about 2 years and then it will be hanging off of the bumper!!! NOTE; Cobra-Jet has a good suggestion about the X pipe setup! Stay away from the JEGS line of products, they tend to suffer in quality materials!
Q:Motorcycle exhaust pipe principle
The first exhaust emissions process is the first encounter exhaust manifold, exhaust manifold in the design of the most important thing is to avoid the exhaust between the cylinder interference, so that exhaust gas as far as possible completely discharged from the tube, the exhaust pipe The role of the middle itself is relatively simple, as long as the exhaust from the exhaust manifold to the exhaust tail pipe, and some exhaust system in the middle will be more than an expansion chamber to reduce the exhaust pressure; because the engine internal high temperature and When the high-pressure exhaust gas enters the exhaust manifold, the pressure is still high, and at this time due to contact with the exhaust manifold pipe wall will have a shock wave, the frequency of occurrence can reach thousands of times per minute, each time will issue a very high frequency Annoying noise, so the need for good treatment, when the exhaust gas through the exhaust manifold, the shock wave from the supersonic down to the speed of sound or even lower than the speed of sound, but this time the noise emitted by the shock wave is still large, even after the middle of the tube The road is not enough to reduce its power, so in the middle and the end of the section to install the "expansion room" and "silencer" to offset its power, and some exhaust pipe design only tail section of a silencer, and some will The addition of an expansion chamber, silencer, and expansion chamber in the middle is similar in appearance, with the difference that there are multiple partitions or porous passages inside the muffler to absorb sound waves and reduce the flow rate, while the expansion chamber is simply a large hollow container , Its purpose is also very simple to expand the exhaust gas to reduce the pressure, so more than one expansion chamber design will reduce the noise a lot.
Q:Will Porsche choose the 911 carrera s sports exhaust system and the standard difference? How is the optional wave? The
The original selection and standard with a significant difference! The performance of the engine will be improved!
