- Q: if you already have the headers what else do you need for an exhaust system?
- well headers are only one section of the exhaust system. it is useless putting on headers if you still have the stock exhaust piping. think of it like sucking juice through a straw, if you make the straw wider at one end but keep it narrow at the other it really won't matter how wide it is at the one end, it will only be as restrictive as the most restrictive part, if that makes sense? You need to get piping that fits the headers and run it down the rest of your car. but if you're going to put that kind of money into the car, you'd probably want to make sure you have the intake side down as well to help increase performance

- Common for most folks to sit on foot rake and not bother to go to neutral. This is poor driving and incorrect method but anybody challenged on it will feel it's the best thing to do and try and justify it eg fast getaway if lights changed. --- So when an ambulance with its lights and sirens on is right behind you, you probably feel good about being in la-la land and having to shift out of neutral and into drive, amirite? Bozo.

- No, it's not easy! Take your components down to your local muffler shop and have them do the installation . Trust me, that is the way to go! (unless you have exhaust pipe, mandrel-type bending machine and a welder that you know how to use)
- Q: Generally speaking, how much would it cost at an auto shop?
- Power brakes get their power from engine vacuum. Under the hood behind the master cylinder is the brake booster. When you shut down the engine you loose vacuum and the brakes get stiffer. This is why it is very important that if your car ever stalls and you need to stop, to stop ASAP and do not pump the brakes. You will bleed out the vacuum and your car will be much harder to stop.

- Q: I own a 1995 Chevy Corsica, the car needs a new exhaust, the current one has a leak and the exhaust mounts are broken so it knocks on the bottom of the car is is really loud in a bad way. I want to replace it but I don‘t know the cheapest route to go. I have heard that performance exhausts are cheaper, is this true? Or are oem exhausts cheaper? I would like to go the cheaper route and if that means that i can get a cool performance sound for cheaper than thats what i want to do. but if oem is cheaper i am perfectly fine with a quiet clean sounding exhaust.Thanks for your response.
- Truth is it can all go either way. Some performance systems can be less expensive than OEM and some more expansive than OEM. You need to call the parts stores and price the different systems and go from there. Good luck.

- FMF or Pro Circuit. White Bros makes a great exhaust system too, and thats what Team Yamaha uses. Dr. D and Big Gun make great systems as well. But if you are looking for quality, and something that will not only look good, but perform good, look at pro circuit. I like them better because thier mounting points are not hardend plastic like FMF and the others.They are metal. and in case you crash, it will hold up better and not break
- Q: I purchased my husband a Flowmaster Force II Exhaust thinking it was the right fit for his truck He has an 07 Ford F150. I failed to notice that with the flowmaster i currently bought it was for 09 and up. My question to all you auto men/women Is there a way to modify this exhaust system without having to ship it back and Re order a different type? Is it an easy fix to fix onto the truck? HELPPPPP
- the kit you bought has all the pipes prebent to fit the specific vehicle, if you take the truck to an exhaust shop they can bend new pipes to make the kit fit however that will cost more than sending the kit back and getting the correct one. so no there is no easy way to make it work
- Q: would this increase the gas milage of my 1993 gmc truck? What are the benefits of a new exhaust system?
- if you go with a flow master muffler and bigger pipes this will increase your torque in the lower power range, meaning it wont take so much for you to start moving, but, everytime you hit the gas to hear the sound as everybody does, you waste gas. any thing you would gain from the exhaust you will loose from reving up the engine or getting into it to hear the pipes, as the gains are very minimal. if i were to try to get better gas milage, make sure it is properly running, change your fuel filter an o2 sensors, make sure the tires are properly inflated, have the drive line lubed, check your alignment, get a kn airfilter, and the flowmaster muffler with bigger pipes, and check the coolant make sure it doesnt need to be changed. all this eems like alot, but its what we do in are shop and it seems to be the most effective in the long run. we also do a fuel injection cleaner that is another step in the service. justice brothers makes a good product for that. it will cost you a little bitof money to do this kind of service, and you will get a mpg increase, but its gonna take a long time for you to recoup any of that money. no matter what you do it will take you time to get taht money back, but with this type of service, it will last longer and get bigger gains, so it wont take as long as some smaller changes

- If u get a good exhaust system, then the exhaust leaves the car easier and under less pressure, this means the engine doesnt have to build up as mush exhaust pressure to get rid of the exhaust, giving you more power out of ur engine.
